When I was a teenager, back when dinosaurs walked the land, I learned through Runescape that you can be attracted to personalities of a person, not just their appearance. In GW Factions, I realised you can basically build friendships that become like a family, and feel more at home with them, than people you know outside of games

I haven't played this game in like 15 years but I vividly remember going to the fountain of melandru and taming the cat there with my ranger! Made me fall in love with that class with its connections to nature ever since!

One day it was the last day that I played and I never knew it :( If I wasn't sad before I am now :S This game was so much for me in my younger years, helped with so many things in my life at that time. Haven't been dedicated to a game like I was with Guild Wars since. Man, talk about a nostalgia punch to the face!

The servers are still open and the devs have promised to let them open the entire lifetime of GW2 so you can still log in !

I had over 10,000 hrs into this game. I still have a character sitting in pre just for the ambiance. The game actually still has quite a few players in the major cities. I'm glad to see it's still up and running :)

My first character on my dad’s account @ 13! A little(no seriously I’m short so I made her as short as possible) Ranger/Necromancer! I bought my charm and comfort animal skills so my first pet was a wolf instead of the cat and I kept it the entire Prophecies run!

The Pre-Searing Catacombs is one of my favorite locations in a video game. Somehow it's simultaneously eerie and relaxing. This is a great selection of vistas! Considering the Catacombs is a relatively minor part of the game, there was clearly a lot of attention to detail and talented artwork that went into making it a unique, diverse and memorable location.
