Thank you! And just make sure to check the IFRA. I only use oils that allow me to use 25%. So I do 3 parts reed diffuser base, and 1 part FO. Never had a problem doing it this way!

I’m a beginner start up business and I am deciding to create a package set which consists of candles. I 9:37 don’t know if I should invest in wholesale candles or make my own candles? I should include I don’t know how to make candles 😂

Hey! So it’s totally your decision, but making the candles would definitely be more economical and allow you to partake in bigger margins, BUT the testing process is a lengthy one and making sure all of your candles are quality can take some time. If you are ready to launch, you may want to consider buying the candles from another maker wholesale. The margins will be a little slimmer, but all of the work is already done! There are so many great companies out there who I’m sure would love to work with you 😃

Obviously more testing would need to be done for your particular candles, but I’ve found with mine, that I’ve actually been able to increase the burn time! Highly recommend giving it a try, but I know it’s tough to switch once you’ve found that perfect balance with your current candles. If you do, I’d love to hear how it went!

However I love the look of the wooden wick and know my target demographic does too. So I think its time to do some testing

The good thing is you have perfected your other candles, so worst case scenario, you can’t find that same efficiency with the wood wicks you are testing, you know you have a great product that your customers love with the cotton wicks and can stick with that. ☺️

Great ideas for wholesaling car diffusers 👍. Thanks for that - I hadn’t considered that. I’m getting ready to roll out some car diffusers (I’m labeling them as “mini” diffusers) soon to see how they do on my website. I can see how they would sell better in person, but I’ll give it a go on-line. Just subscribed. I think that TikTok has been a great advertisement for us that do make car diffusers. I started adding silicone and focal beads to my diffusers to jazz them up a bit. I do better at events with the diffusers. I have mine in a store but don't do ask well. Thanks for sharing an update!

@@knightlightcandleco I had actually reached out to them as I was in another store during that time. After leaving the store I was in, it unfortunately closed. I try looking in the surrounding counties that I'm in for boutiques that are looking for new vendors. I'm a one woman show so I know how tough it can be on one person to try and grow your business.

I’m actually in the process of refining systems in my business and documenting everything so if I get to the point where I can bring someone else along, I can maintain that consistency in my products. @@youbydashka2891 so I actually designed the boxes myself using Canva, and then I worked with an overseas supplier to manufacture them on Alibaba. As a new business I’m looking to save costs as much as possible so using an overseas supplier let me get high quality boxes for a fraction of the price. Locally sourced companies seem to charge a lot more!

I'm sorry to hear that your diffusers aren't working properly! I'm not sure what could be the problem, but I get my 8ml diffuser bottles right from amazon! I typically buy about 300 diffuser bottles at a time.

I make and sell these.. and yes it matters . the fragrance oil shouldn't come in contact with your skin. some are OK like the ones made for soap and lotion. but most are not safe for skin as I'm sure your aware.. I sell a similar vial at my booth along with wax melts. I tested in my car and husband's truck for two months before selling. what I found is some of the little wood lids are faulty. they don't screw tightly and this causes the bottle to unscrew and fall to the floor of the truck. Luckily not much spilled out. The other one would swing so wildly over a speed bump or driveway that the glass would literally hit my windshield. had to shorten the slack on em.. they work really well. after 2 months my glass vial was still half full and it was 105 degrees for weeks and it didn't dry them out. You do need to tilt to add fragrance to the reed lid about once a week or so to keep it smelling and when you tilt it your fingers get coated in fragrance. they aren't perfect but they do the trick ..
