You should be able to make 2 microphones from a single telephone. Or a microphone from a speaker. This is the same reason that you can use an electric motor as a generator. It works both ways

You are missing the point. The point of the video is to get a microphone that has a built in lo-fi filter applied like an army field transmission or something. It isn’t supposed to sound like a regular microphone.
