Thanks for the lovely comment! In this video, I use my go-to brushes. They are kolinsky natural hair bristles from the Billy Showell collection. Size 6 and 2. And I believe a Windsor and Newton fine liner at the end for the details.

Hi! This was variations of paynes gray, Prussian blue, alizeran crimson, burnt sienna, yellow ochre. If you lay light washes first, you can gradually add more color so you don't over do it. Also shows lots of color variations that way. Good luck!! 😊

Nice, but didn't really say what type of strokes you do to make the fur. Also if you use the grey colour to make the white fur look white. I'm a bit confused.

Hi Cindy. Yeah, I need to create a slower version to explain the strokes better (something I need to create time for!) For this painting, I layed down color on dry paper, then rinsed my brush out and then smoothed out some of the edges with a clean brush. Which is just the way I approach my painting. In watercolor, the white paper needs to be reserved, so using very light washes of tans, grays and even pinks are used to create the fur. "White" isn't really used when creating white fur in watercolor, but you can go back in with white gouache if needed, but I really try not to! Hope this helps, but my videos aren't really beginner friendly. Maybe I'll find more time in the future. Thank you for taking the time to comment!
