This was such a great video and I would love to see more. Your Napoli sauce looked delicious! Fresh herbs are amazing I agree. What tips do you have for planting tomatoes successfully? I need to do better next year.

@@PrettyLittleGarden2930 Thank you for the feedback Jen! It was a good year for tomatoes this year! I’ve not been too successful in containers with cherry & grape tomatoes on my north facing patio, they didn’t get enough sun I think. Since planting in the NW raised bed with more sun they’ve flourished. I used compost over top last year’s garden soil mix, watered every 1-2 days early in the season, cut back watering to every 3-4 days as the plants grew bigger. Cut back some if they get overgrown. I think planting marigolds & nasturtiums nearby helped keep the bugs away. I still think planting 6 plants were too many. I may cut back doing cherry tomatoes next year, as they took up too much space with excess foliage for less return.

@@Melody33812 I totally get it! I tried to go for mostly compact ones that won’t need to be split, but inevitably there are always a few to split! Cleaning up those darn hostas started my sciatica pain last fall!

Love your fall selections, Anne! I’ve had many a frustrating time putting something together myself. It looks sweet though and I like it. All of your roses are looking gorgeous. @@PrettyLittleGarden2930 I changed the title of the video to include “FAIL” after Greg laughed while watching the first urn. I had recorded it on Saturday, but was so frustrated that I wasn’t going to publish it. Then I decided, why not show the good with the bad?! It must be relatable! I gave Eddie a flea/tick bath tonight after Greg found a tick on him!! Ugh between allergies & ticks, I’m starting to look forward to fall/winter! 😂 Hope Lucy is doing okay with the allergies, it’s so hard on our pups 🐶! The greenhouse is really shaping up. Greg just has to figure out how to hook up the electrical so we can heat it this winter. I’ll be starting my cut flower seeds in February. Doing research on what I can start sooner!

Yay! Time to decorate for Autumn! Regarding your Kiss Me Kate rose, you may want to make the stems grow horizontally so that lateral branching can happen. That’s how you get lots of blooms along the canes. Good luck 🌹

Hi Anne! What a beautiful video & such a lovely day you had. Double rainbow and all! 🌈I liked the taller tiered tray too for the front porch. It pulled the white from your pillows and wreath on the front door. I also thought it could probably be seen better from the street too. You have such a great sense of style. Have you tried Wee White hydrangeas? Next spring if my Big Leaf Let’s Dance Sky View don’t make it under the birch tree, I may have to try those. I still have more day lilies on the west side to replace next spring lol!

The roses are just beautiful! I never have good luck with them. Usually the Japanese beetles destroy them. I'll bet it seems lovely sitting on your porch!

I loved watching your garden timeline. What a beautiful transformation in such a short time! I am so in love with your greenhouse. I had to laugh when you mentioned getting rid of your daylilies. I am ready to pull out many of mine too. Although they rebloom, they just look messy by August, and take so much work. I'm loving the lavender idea. I will be watching next spring to see how they do if you decide to go with that, and may try it too. I did replace some of my Stella d'oro's in my driveway garden with Tuscan Gold false sunflower. Because they are in part shade, they stay on the shorter side (about the same size as the daylilies). And they bloomed all summer. That might be an option towards the back. Can't wait to see what you decide. Thanks for sharing your gardens!

Awesome wreath! I have large and small limelights and love drying bouquets.thanks for the inspiration to make a wreath! On the lights, I've been wanting to add solar lights to my patio arbor with roses and clematis but not sure how they'll work out in the winter...? Will you keep yours in place?

@@pamd1861 Hi Pam, I’ve had my arbor at my side yard with the HoseLink solar lights for almost 2 years, they stay up through winter with no issues! I thought about trying cheaper ones from Amazon for the new arbors, but decided to go with the original brand since they have been very reliable. I’m happy you’re inspired to make a wreath!
