For me, listening to the magical voice of the great Mehdi Hassan Saab is - like embarking on an eternal voyage, in a dinghy, in a deep blue sea, on a moonlit night, with a cool breeze and solitude, to give company ! Such was the wizardry of this great Wizard Of Music ! Those, who have already missed it, have missed many things in life ! Oh, what a great loss it was ! It was as if the 'ROOH'(SPIRIT) of the ghazal gayiki had gone, along with his sad demise of the great Khan Saab !

He was second to none!!Excellence embodied in form of Gazal gayaki.The transcription of ghazal musically is really a rare art that this great singer mastered ..!!singers will come and go having done their bit ...but Mehndi Hassan was one and only of his kind .Myself along with other ghazal lovers were so lucky to have listened and revered him for decades and his magic is still the same !! 9:34
