I was a lineman for 31 years. On my best day I never got up the pole as fast as these guys except one time when I performed the final operation that restored power to a thousand people, and my buddies promised me I wouldn't have to pay for any of my own beer at the saloon by the garage after work.

LEDs might be energy efficient, but they are harmful to the health. Every LED is emitting harmful blue light. CFL's on the other hand, also emits blue light, they are NOT as economic as they say and they and have a lot of other harmful properties, including mercury, and it's impossible even to list them. Incandescent light bulbs are the best but they are no more allowed in most countries. Guess why (i can't imagine it).

What if a house doesn’t have soffit vents? What’s the next best solution

It depends on the type of soffit. If you have a wide plywood soffit, cut a rectangular hole every 24" and add an 8" X 16" vent. If you have a narrow soffit, you can find continuous strips that are 2" to 4" wide. My current house has vinyl soffits and about 3' out of 8 are vented. I might just drill holes in the non-vented pieces to increase the air flow or I could replace the vinyl pieces. If you have little to no soffit and you are getting your roof replaced, a roofer can add a strip at the bottom of the roof that can let air in.

I check folks for allergies on a regular basis. Almost everyone I check are allergic to LED lights even when they are turned off. I dont know what if any effect this allergy will have on folks but there is some concern. I hope to do more research in the near future. I love to save money and I hope there are no negative effects.
