I'm not an expert, but I understand that the best-sounding shells are those made from a single piece of wood or with glued laminates that are the height of the drum. It can never sound good if you make it with little pieces held together with glue. It doesn't seem right to me. I would have liked to see it fully assembled.

great video but did anyone else notice that the builder is aloud to use power tools but need supervision to use the glue???

Fantastic imaginative use of router under rolling drum on large threaded rod and the inside router jig as well. That was very satisfying to see. Well done I cant wait to see how the finish turns out. Subscribed now, thank you for posting your talents! Safety first please!

Wish people would realise that we don’t need to see each pice cut and sanded, we get the idea from one or two. Itjust makesrhe video very boring.

Such precision cutting the angles where the segments go together..!! That makes for a very strong shell when the angles are so perfectly fitted. Oscillating spindle sander..!! Overarm pin router..!! those machines make life so much easier.. :)

@@drummaitaly4973 Unfortunately you don't seem to have videos where I can actually hear the whole drum sets being played. All I can find is videos with background music and where the drummer hardly hits any toms but only bass drum and snare are played ...

@@ghostdrums we are Sorry you didn't appreciate our video format. The idea was to contestualize the drumset in its natural contest: the music. Like I said, the drumset of this particular snare Is not finished yet, we Will publish the video demo of It as soon as It Will be ready. If you are interested you can give us your email and I can send you some pure sounds of various drumsets.

Dude great job. Looks awsome. Tell me one thin... How much is the lengt for every one segmenteg?
@drummaitaly4973
@drummaitaly4973 3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Thank you, It depends on the shell dimension, usually we use 6, 8 or 10 segments to male a ring. The lenght of the segment is due to that and it is never the same. In 14 inches shells Is usually around 15cm.
