Balm to my soul today. TYFS. Creative block due to supply overload. I was wondering where I could go in my art journal. I love the little bird. Must have one somewhere in my giant stash right 😂 Hugs, Kate in New York.❤

From where I can get gell plate in Pakistan 🇵🇰
@JessonArt2 күн бұрын
I don’t know. Probably look for it in online shop and have it shipped. If not in your country maybe a country near you. There is probably shop that ship worldwide, but shipping lost may be expensive. I’m live in Europe so I don’t know where to get things in Asia/ Pakistan. Sorry Search for gel plate, gel press, gelli plate. Hope you find one.

Very nice for a beginner ! Where did you get your gel block to paint on and what size was it… also which brand of paints did you use…are these paints washable like if you use your stencils and roller.
@JessonArt3 күн бұрын
Thank you🌸I bought my gel plate in an online shop. I don’t remember where. There are more than one brand. Search for gelpress or gelplate or gellipress. I think the one I use in this video is a square on 6x6, but there are all kind of sizes and different shapes. I have both smaller and bigger. And from different brands. I use acrylic paint, in the video, cheaper brands, like studio grade paint. But you can use for expensive acrylic paint as well. More liquid paint doesn’t work as well as thicker paint. Washable in some aspect but I don’t wash my roller. You can wash your plate with water.

Did you use postal crayons? If not what kind. They seem to spread and blend well by using the hand?
@JessonArt3 күн бұрын
If I remember correctly I used oil pastels from Prima in this video. They are easy to smear.

I use any kind, old books, notebooks, watercolor journals, mixed media sketchbooks. I usually buy online authentic sketchbooks or in thrift stores for old book. I have different brands as well. Arteza, stillman &birn, Fabriano, ranger and a few more.

This was so helpful. And it turned out so good. No one on tube ever explains composition. Let alone different ways to use tools and mediums. This was extremely helpful to me. I learned so much. Thank you for doing this.

Just found you and I so admire your work. I'm a collage artist and would love to try this style of art journaling but I'm scared to death. I have all the suplies and they sit there staring at me 😂 Your work is incredible and maybe some day I'll find the courage to try this style. ❤

@@JessonArt Thank you for the encouraging words. I created my first mixed media collage today and it will be going up shortly. The verdict is still out as to whether or not I'm happy with it. I'll improve, I'm sure. Practice and patience. 🥴Let the people speak !! 🤣
