Monk is fun to play

I tried COI. It was not good energy build up. Frost provides much better of building the energy. Forst Nova is great energy builder. Then a staff that convert percent of elemental damage to Cold damage helps with Sparks. Combine this with Frost Bomb and you have a fast energy build up for Cast On Freeze.

Based on mana numbers I have been, It does cost the mana associated with each spell that is in the socket. I use 4 spell so I can see a significant drop in blue vessel. Keeping a high mana pool and fast regen should negate this cost.

There is a little On/Off toggle switch for these skills. Unless you turn that switch to ON position, the spirit will not be used. For console players, select the skill and click on square button. It will open up a panel for the spirit skills.

@worldofhobbycraft1275 that's the thing. The bottom has been toggled on the whole time, but the spirit is not being reserved thus the skill is not working as intended for me.

​@@xxsaintxseiyaxx This happens to me when i change some gear/skill back and forth. Turn all of your Spirit Skills off then enable them again, it kinda resets the allocation of spirit. Not even 30 minutes ago that was me, looking at the spirit skill enabled (the little circle spinning on it) but it definitely wasn't functioning. Try disable/enable. Also check if you are using those little spirit support gems, the ones that use up 10/15/20 spirit, sometimes I forget those are mixed in and they mean all the difference. There are multiple things that impact amount of energy. 1. Level of Cast On skill gem. At 20% level it generates 60% energy 2. % of ailment (Freeze, Shock, Ingnite) build up. You can use passive skills to boost this build up 3. Number of monsters that get frozen at a given time. For example if you freeze a bigpack at the same time, the energy build up is high 4. Spell damage causing ailment

This buff also adds bump to rarity of items dropped. It helps if you can get this buff early on.

This reforging comes very handy when you end up with a lot of low level Waystones.

Make sure you are trying to add skill gem to cast on xxx skill. Some time I have to use manage socket option to add support or skill gems in support sockets.

I have used every option and I can’t get a skill gem into CoS

I’m on console and having same issue, I can put ball lightning on cast on shock but then I don’t know how to put it on a button to cast the spell🙃

You do not cast it yourself. The skills in the sockets will trigger by itself when enough energy associated with the elemental type is gathered to reach 100%. I described this in a post here... worldofhobbycraft.com/path-of-exile-2-how-does-cast-on-freeze-mechanics-works

The game is in Beta phase. It is going to take some time to tune it to cater the majority. I am sure the devs will make some adjustments to this fight. The boss has way too much health. With all the movements and movement restrictions, it can get difficult to dish out some damage.

@worldofhobbycraft1275 I get it's in beta phase, the issue and question is did they even play it? The balancing is all over the place and is a glaring issue. The loots drops are pathetic still after a patch. The endgame is beyond a joke. Perhaps the worst part of all is the "crafting" it is a gacha gambling system. I get they are calling it a beta, but it's more of an alpha. If they are fully launching this within a year, good luck.

Success in Third Phase is more or less depends on how you start it. As I explained in the video, make sure you are closer to the stairs just before third phase starts. This gives you little bit more time to position on the last platform. Yes, that platform does not give you lot of space.

You just need to focus the bigger deer. Keep kiting the big deer around the dome. You can ignore the smaller deer. It will not be able to break the shield by itself before you kill the bigger one.

Keep attacking the stag with antlers. It will keep following you. Keep kiting it away. Ignore the little deer. That one can not break the shield by itself by the time you will kill the big one.

@thefriedpiper I did some side quests to get myself to 58. I even went on the trader to buy some legendary gear. Now I'm a level 58 with 600ish gear score and I still can't get past the deer....

@kinglyatticus yea sounds like we're the same person. I just tried it again and can only get the fuckin thing to around 40 percent. I've never experienced a bottleneck in a game like this before.

@@thefriedpiper I got past it today at level 59. I reset my attributes and put mostly a focus on Focus stat, ate some food and used musket the entire time I'm 60 now

As I explained in the video, run to the stairs. That is where the third phase of the fight will take place.

I am noticing that on console lot of actions do not work as expected or intended by game developers. So you just have to improvise and find a way out of it.

Dodge clears 1 tick. Get on fire... dodge, dodge.

Lol.. I did the same thing for one of the trials. I forgot that when you upgrade Azoth Staff, it is not automatically equipped. Game developers need to look into this and consider it as a quality of life improvement to equip the staff automatically.

Yeah, after my 1st failure after getting her down to less than a 3rd of her health, just to instantly die and have to go through the stupid cutscene every damn time, i was pissed

Join a Mryk run when they start a invite, get into it and try and get inside from a nearby portal and get into the left entrance, might be other players in same situation to help possibly, work your way around the left side, go north and wind around the left side, where all the orch nodes are and then go straight across to other side of the complex on the right side and go upstairs and activate the portal up top there and start the solo quest.

Youre going the wrong way, follow the path that the optional flag replacements take you. it takes you on a back route through Myrkgard to avoid the elites

I stayed on the west side on my way up. There's a little tunnel full of ore veins you can travel through. Also cut through the group corruption challenges to avoid the 70 elites.

The answer if you're alone = RUN! I legit ran past every single mob until I reached the top!
