Lovely double page layout. Your watercolor flower is so sweet. I feel your frustration with the texture struggle. You’ve got me stumped on the paint medium you used with the sienna . Was it clear gesso, an acrylic matte medium gel or something else? Anyway… love today’s pages. 👏👏👏😎 Take care.

I have 3 on the go at the moment, this one is the first attempt, it has been hiding away for a couple of years. Didn't have a clue about removing pages back then, so the book is very unstable and uneven. Learning as I go. Cheers

Your floral cut-out page reminds me of the fancy cut-out embroidered work on fabric women used to do. It also reminds me of crochet doilies. This is a beautiful technique and could be a lot of fun too. I love the idea of Tim Holtz ladies peeking out throughout the page. And yes, a plain background gesso, black or a color would be perfect. Oh boy. My mind is a busy one after this video. As I often say, love it, Leigh. 👏👏👏👏😎 >>> Hope your Rx eye glasses turn up soon.🤓

I just made my first altered book too and and zi made some pocket pages that are now a bit smaller than I thought but plan on using my pen pal received art to finish mine. I will try this cut out page method now that I have some of your tips. TY, for showing so many different kinds of mixed media pages.
