I like way these sound, except maybe for the hi hats. I like mine a little bit heavier and less washy and sometimes with a pronounced ‘sound edge’ chink. Yes,I’d swap some heavy Paiste hats here and they would sound even better with these great agop’s

No. That's Robinson Bridgeforth or Terence F. Clark. Both play Istanbul and both do a lot of Memphis Drum Shop Agop demos - and both are also awesome.

It seems Agop has changed the formula for more recent 30th cymbals. They seem to have a darker finish, I noticed it in person too. I own a 22" 30th that has more of a classic golden finish.

They are… less brilliant 😉 No… you can expect them to be less shiny and a bit more mellow, maybe even a tad darker sounding… without being dark
