We stayed there in may this year. Every puplic bench was occupied by sea lions. If you go snorkeling gangs of juvenal sea lions approach you to play with you.

It's really heartbreaking knowing that the galapagos sea lions and fur seals are becoming endangered because of all the overfishing as well as all the rat poison and DDT thats being dumped everywhere over there. They could certainly use some good prayers at the very least.

I think they feel safe/relax in land, around with humans, and they also enjoyed the comfort made by humans. Sea Lions are affectionate by nature. They do love cuddles.
