A good video for people from whom english is not first language. Many of Alistair McLeans describe situations on ships and seas most of which miisses readers like me due to lack of sea or sailing vocabulary but this provides a great understanding of the kind of events in those novels.

There are people inside the ship, sitting on the couches and chairs and PLAYING WITH THEIR STUPID PHONES instead of watching the ocean as they motor through Drake's passage!!! What a bunch of losers!!!!

0:58. I can’t believe those are 7 metre waves either. I’ve been in waves that high often enough. I think that’s the expected wave height. 3:19 Why did these people buy a ticket. Reading books a cell phones! Look around you! This was supposed to be why you’re here!

Wat je kunt doen is de plaatselijke reisbureaus mailen of er nog last minutes tickets zijn. Zo hadden wij voor de helft van de prijs de tickets. Je moet wel flexibel zijn qua reistijd.

Unbelievable. I was getting queasy just watching. I would love to put this on my bucket list. And the perspective at the end from that bluff looking down at the ship. It looks like a toy. Thank you for posting!

Imagine working an old wooden ship in these seas, climbing up and down the mast to set sails in all weather, wondering if you'd live long enough to ever be dry again. Brave, brave men.

From Pearl Harbor to olongapo Philippines we hit a typhoon, the waves were so tall a porthole on the port side 30’ above the waterline failed. The starboard stabilizer ripped off and made contact with one of the screws. Like a card in a bicycle wheel, only way louder… rat tat tat.. rat tat tat… tat rat tat all the way to the Philippines for dry dock. Great times

Hi Chris! WOW! It is impressive they let you on the Bridge! I am like you, I like the rough sea. I would eat a big bowl of spaghetti and tease the sick people. The way the water moves is so beautiful. You are so lucky to take such a wonderful cruise. When the ship rolls does it tickle your stomach?

This is nothing. I paddled my small canoe all the way around Antarctica one winter with eighty foot waves just for something to do. All I had was an RC Cola and peanut butter sandwich.
