That was the regenerative braking. You have to turn that completely off to cook down a hill. I keep mine off because how much will it actually put back in the battery when your only hitting the brakes maybe 15% of the time or something like that. I personally prefer being able to use the downhill to my advantage rather than having it limit my speed downhill cause your just always feeling like it has more to offer otherwise.

Beware do not buy this bike. I didn’t have this bike for even a week before it stopped functioning correctly. It’s been throwing multiple error codes and completely stopped working leaving me stranded 10 plus miles from home. Customer service has completely stopped communicating with me. Spend a little bit more and buy from a reputable company and save yourself some grief

I Recently Got Duped When I Did A Breville Bambino Expresso Machine On Sale Search. I Saw a Costco Add for $69 For a $399 Machine. Anyhow, I Used To Have Costco Membership And I Figured, Okay I Should Be Able To Purchase it And Pay The New Membership On-Line. Anyhow The Add Said It Was a One Day Costco Special And There Was Only 16 Hours Left In The Sale Or Something Like That And It Had a Count Down Ticker. Of Course It Looked Legit -And Costco Does Have Those Sorts Of Specials. I Thought of Leaving Target And Heading Over To Costco But Opted Out And Just Made The Purchase. Anyhow, I Made The Purchase Through After Pay But After It Went Through, I Never Received An Invoice Or Receipt. I Immediately Notified After Pay And My Bank And Disputed It. These Guys Are Getting Very Creative. My Advice, NEVER BUY ONLINE UNLESS YIU ARE A MEMBER. It’s Terrible.

I highly recommend the 750W version , I have the Caroma P5 , it’s a 750W version of the P1. The P4 is shown in this video is very similar to the P5 and the P1. The only difference’s is the P5/P1 has a fixed height seat and curved handlebars and suspension, which is awesome compared to the P4. I ordered mine on Temu and total cost including shipping and tax was 437.81. But if you never been on Temu before or even if you have, beware, there are many different places that sell on Temu but all are not honest. But do your homework and everything should be ok. I had a coupon that I had earned on earlier purchases and it was applied also, and it’s called a lightning sale that has some remarkable sales but only for a short period of time. But if you are seriously considering a caroma I would suggest you get the P5 with the front and rear suspension. Look around or even better there’s a search box , just type in Caroma P5 scooter and you will see what I mean. But I bought mine from Sanopy Direct, and everything was on time and perfectly packed .

Hey Larry nice bike. I used to have that exact bike except in Gray. It was also a 750 I loved it. The only thing was the fenders were metal and that was a problem for me and it will be for you if it already hasn't happened. The thing is the back fender has two clips that hold it in place. The clip closest to the seat will eventually give out and it will jam up in the tire. if you're going 25mph like i was it will fling you over the handle bars. I have pics not sure if i can send them through here. I told the manufacturer about it and they sent me plastic fenders which were better. They also gave me a hundred bucks for my grief, through PayPal.There is a quick fix if you catch it beforehand. Reinforce that clip. Other than that its a great bike. I eventually sold it and upgraded to the Polana M6 1000 watt. It has a beefier frame a beefier battery and more torque. If get back to me. I'll school you on the fenders, easy and send you the pics of my okd bike m6 750 and my New one m6 1000. By the way the new bike came with plastic fenders, I couldn't be happier with this bike. I love that the frame is so much beefier than the 750 frame .

I do believe that mine said 5 modes also for the ebX but also only have 3 modes and I didn't get taillight but only red rear reflector but only difference I've seen is mine has like 750 watt peak power and goes 24mph and has worthless poor formed plastic fenders

Bought one from from Wal-Mart. Assembled. charged battery and it FAILED. No power to output devices. Wal-Mart made it right and did not want it back due to possible issues with battery. Checked it out and battery is ok. Problem appears to be in controller. Tap or move it and it works.. Charge it and it dies. Have to move controller again. Caroma doesn't seem willing to correct. Good Luck if you buy one.

I got this same bike off of TEMU 2 weeks ago. for just $430 US total! A couple of the components are a little different. The battery is a different style and it didn't come with a tail light Mine came with fenders instead. My computer controls and grips are a different design also. I have over 600 miles on it so far with zero problems. Great value for the price!

Would like to share my riding comparison between Velotric Fold 1 and one of its cheaper major competitors like Ride1Up Portola. Both ebikes I purchased very recently and pedal them about 80 mi each before providing w/ this info. Once I switched Velotric F1 to class 3 e-bike (allowing 28mph when pedal-assisting) most importantly than the max speed is actually how the torque power changed successfully for every PAS level. What happened is described very briefly - every one PAS level even otherwise the not noticeable PAS 1 or 2 increased its power when pedaling, and became so noticeable that I was able to pedal variety of terrains, including very short but steep uphills only using Velotric F1 PAS 1, incomparable advantage over Portola. Later even switched to Class 3 from Class 2 e-bike operation is forcing me going up steep hills especially to switch to PAS4 or 5 in order pedaling to get over the hill without much effort. The same observation is valid comparing Velotric F1 with other cheaper competitors like Aipas A2 and Lectruc XP 3.0 step-thru e-bikes. Being able to pedal practically everywhere without the need to switch to higher more-battery consuming PAS level or throttle - the outcome pedaling and saving more battery from discharge longer than Portola, Aipas A2 and Lectric XP step-thru.
