@@OnlyEntropy you are correct in that this is my very first time playing this, and also funny that I did learn this the hard way after lingering in the arena too long. I will keep your advice in mind in my next session, thank you!

@@omizu_paintz Just pace yourself, it's a looong game. It took me a year to beat it. That was like 30 years ago. My Mom was pissed because of the massive 32 mega bites of space it took up (that was a lot back then). 🤣

@@OnlyEntropy I would’ve loved to play this way back then but I don’t think it ever made it to the Mac. I did play all the early gold box games when they originally came out so I am very happy to be able to play this some thirty years later.

@@omizu_paintz No they didn't have a mac version it was DOS or windows 93. It sold a lot of box sets at best buy and other stores and because of shareware it got around. I wish I still had it, it's worth a ton now. $300 or more. Just keep in mind it's like Skyrim hostile NPC's get stronger in the arena, to push you out and explore. I don't think it happens in the rest of the game just the arena. I'll try to watch your stream next time. I've subscribed to your YT channel (It's about the same follow count as mine, interesting).

@@OnlyEntropy Thank you! They used a similar tactic in the Dragonlance ttrpg module Dragons of Despair to railroad the PCs. Any time you went into areas you weren't meant to go they would throw tougher and tougher battles at you.

@@omizu_paintz As crazy as it sounds it may be easier to start from scratch. It can be done though, spells are more useful use your half-giant for mele. The sewer is a lot of carving your way through as well. I don't want to spoil it but just be prepared for more fighting once you escape. You can do it. Your party is well balanced. When is your next stream?

@ I might have to. I just rewatched the stream and my thri-kreen had died at the end and I didn’t even notice the status read ‘dead’.
