When you say the diff wanders, do you mean it slides to one side or the other? My Si does this in bad weather.

What are my options for a 5th gen accord with an automatic?
@chrisouthred32052 сағат бұрын
Thanks Brian - I needed this... I've had a couple of gen 1 CRX project cars for so many years (since the early RPR days!). I've never been able to let them go and every time you post some gen 1 content I remember why :)
@chrisouthred32052 сағат бұрын
As much as I love the K, I've maintained my 'grumpy old man position' that the gen 1 should never have a K since the day Honda revealed the K series... maybe it's time to let that go 😂

RPR is still alive. The K series makes it an absolute beast. A blast to drive!

Hi ya Brian, was that k24a a"Stock" motor with a better turn programmed into it. I'm looking forward to doing the swap in my Aussie bread stock as rock 1987 Ed 6.

Gotta ❤ torque. In 99-2000 had 93 240sx coupe. 99 Si civic had similar hp, but 240 would always win simply from torque.

I daily drove a stiff sprung B16 CRX for years, complete with spherical trailing arm bearings and suspension top hats. Had a Hasport B series conversion kit in it, glad to see you're still keeping it real Brian!
@MrWaffleinc7 сағат бұрын
First of all, he keeps saying wrong information about the CR-Z. It's not a 1L engine, like he says in the beginning, it's a 1.5L L-series, very similar to the 2nd gen Fit engine. Second of all, he keeps saying that it has a 400v battery. No. If it did, people never would have complained about performance. The early years had a 108v NiMH battery, and after 2014 it had a 144v Li-ion battery. Finally, I'm so sick of people complaining about the performance, saying that the CRX was a much faster car and the CR-Z was way too slow. Let me tell you, the CRX was slow as shit too. The 1st gen started out with only 60hp from a 1.3 CVCC engine. The 2nd gen had either 70, 92 or 108hp in the US. 0-60 times vary based on the driver, but the CR-Z was generally in the low to mid 8 seconds, while a CRX Si (with 108hp) was high 8 to low 9 seconds. Quarter mile times follow suit, with the CRX routinely 1/2 to 1 second slower. The CRX Si had small 14in wheels and skinny tires, while the CR-Z has either 16in or 17in wheels that are a bit wider, offering more cornering grip. In other words, a stock to stock comparison between the CRX and CR-Z shows that the CR-Z is a better car in nearly every way. The only thing that the CRX is better at is fuel economy. But honestly, I'd feel a hell of a lot safer driving a CR-Z in the US than a CRX.

Its been several years, but is this in AZ? I feel like one of the Brians has like 5 CRX's and a v6 swapped red wagon. If this is the same Brian, he helped me with some wiring on a B20 vtec swapped crx with shag carpet in it. Amazing work and I'll never forget it. Love the video either way guys! Keep up the good work!

They probably use polester resin which shrink and warp easier than vinylester and during shipping or storage with temp changes, also wrapping it up tight and getting tossed into a hot truck will warp em.

Is there an LSD solution for accords? I have a 13' Accord with the J35Y2 manual and haven't found anything other than the traction concepts one which there really isn't any reviews on. Im pretty new to the honda world, and there not a whole lot of aftermarket parts for these 9th gen J35 manual cars

Any LSD for the FL5 or FK8 will work.

I thought the 09-14 TSX engine came with EPS, at 49:40 it’s mentioned that the PS pump was removed….. so is this an Accord engine that was used ? since those engines do have PS.

For the k24z3 engine, can a person use the k24z1 timing cover for standard crank sensor? Ive noticed that timing cover accepts the traditional crank sensor even though it's a k24z series. Which would be a junkyard option rather than custom order.
