Took my own advice and watched you vid again... revision is a good thing. Jimmy is not trustworthy, and the actions of Oryx and Crake, our title characters, are misunderstood because his point of view is relatively narrow. And yes, yes, it could be three different women. In fact, I lean towards IS three different women. It is Crake manipulating Jimmy. I love this novel and series so much and maybe think about it too much, because truth is, ive barely touched on all of the things I think about the series, mostly because this video is about the first book and not the whole series. Edit: I would actually debate the notion that Crake is evil. Jimmy is the pov character and he sees Crake as evil for legitimate reasons, but I can and have made a very good argument that he is not.

I need to get back to you because I have read book two and part of three and should get back on it. My perspective changed so much with each layer that was revealed by stepping away from Jimmy's perspective

Can this trilogy be read without reading any other books in the shadowhunter series? Or is it all connected?

You can definitely read all of her separate series as stand alones but you miss some background and special character growth as a lot of characters span multiple books!

yo thanks so much for those little tips at the end, i never wouldve considered the difference in razor blades (as small a detail that is) Ive got a question about rules of CJ, cause i saw anam international dorm had rules and a strike system that's listed in the elevators. things like you cant use portable heaters... is that universal for the whole university, or is it different per dorm building?
@emmanemm7 ай бұрын
It is universal for all the buildings, but I only ever had an RA check my room once too so I assume it's not super super enforced. But I mean bringing in a heater would probably be a bit of a fire hazard

Hehe, I totally get your viewpoint on Susan, and from Harry's perspective she definitely did him wrong. But from her own perspective, Maggie was now the most important person in her life and she did all she could to shield her from her possible enemies. And that meant (at least in her mind) not letting Harry know about her and giving her up to another family. And it worked up until it didn't. I can't really blame her for what she did. And in the end, she knew she sacrificed herself to save Maggie. I think she died content with that fact. Just my opinion, of course... ;)

hello! will be going to KU this fall and was wondering if u tried requesting for a transfer from CJ to Anam Int? I was assigned a CJ double and I'm thinking of appealing to Anam because all my friends are there :'( I'm also scared of being assigned to a 5 people suite haha. would like to understand the differences between Anam and CJ better, such as for heating since it will be winter while I'm there too (does CJ have heating?) Thank u in advance and i look forward to ur response!!
@emmanemm Жыл бұрын
It will be very hard to transfer because ANAM is almost always completely full. There are way less rooms in Anam. The dorms are super close to each other so don't worry too much! There are only around 10 rooms that are 5 person dorms. If you do get that appeal it will be awesome but definitely don't expect it
@emmanemm Жыл бұрын
CJ has heating it just works worse. But honestly the building is fine enough you won't be cold. Anam is way less private cuz the bathrooms are open but CJ has like a hall within your dorm room where you can close off the stuff. Anam is more high tech and has a nicer kitchen, CJ is quieter and has more spaces
