Finally, someone who provides two minutes worth of information in a two minute timeframe. Soooooo many videos here cram two minutes of useful info into a fifteen minute presention. Well done, Sir, well done......

I used to play when I was in the youth orchestra and recently relearned to play violin. It took me abt 6 month to play the 1st 13 bars, but I wanted to tell you that I'm very proud of myself for being able to learn without my teacher, just with all the lessons I see on youtube like yours and just my own analysis, research & practice! Appreciate the technology and also your willingness to share your knowledge so we can all learn and enjoy ourselves! I'm working the last half and gonna polish the whole Andante hopefully by Christmas! Thank you so much for all your support in learning this hardest, but most beautiful Bach piece that I love so much! I'll never give up and keep learning with you! 🙏🙏🙏

Wow, this isn’t one to start with! Re sound, it’s the constant judgement of relation between contact point, bow speed and pressure. Check out some of my technical videos for help with this

Gracias!!!

Ben...even though you put this video out over a year ago, I just came upon it, and am working on this piece. I had not thought of practicing with chords, and you really broke things down very well. I think sometimes I did an extra shift to avoid the string crossing, but as you pointed out, in places that can produce a very good effect. Thank you for sharing of your great skill and expertise. So greatly appreciated. Your playing is of unquestionable virtuoso caliber. Well done!

Can't quite agree with his performance of the middle section; check youtube for "Michael Rabin plays Paganini Caprice No. 5 at Carnegie Hall in 1953" for what I find to be one of the best executions..
