This presentation has great information and recommendations. Be sure to practice rescues, getting yourself back into your boat and getting others safely back into theirs. Speed is essential in cold water! Check for local groups and businesses that teach these and other skills for safe paddling. Invest in the right equipment and know that blue jeans and sweatshirts are not on that list!

I've been to Killarney only 3 times but it really is the jewel of the park system. I had a trip booked 2 years ago into Point Grondine but had to cancel. I need to get in there to visit the waterfalls!
