If only. If only I had been educated in communication skills at a much earlier point in my long life. My life would have been enriched dramatically. I have always despised people who standby silently when injustice or unfairness is occurring. I strongly believe that honor, integrity, character all require one to stand up for what is good and right. This does not necessarily require drama or ugly speech, although I understand emotions can run high. Most times what is needed is confident , reserved, dignified speech delivered with a calm resolve. It’s a fine line.

My dad was killed in a car accident when I was five years old my best friend and soulmate after almost 30 years. Decided to divorce me I got cancer at the age of 67 I beat that and then a family feud broke out and my daughter stopped talking to me. One of my favorite lines from the band Little Feat I’ve been kicked by the wind, robbed by the sleet, had my head stove in, but I’m still on my feet and I’m still willing.
