@@NursingWithoutNotes I just wanted to say thank you for uploading; it really helped me a lot. I recently started nursing school this fall semester, and I was able to get a 93% on my ATI midterm proctored exam. Your videos really helped me so much with setting up Anki. I think your idea of CCRN content would be great. Anki has so much potential, but it is overlooked a lot in nursing school, in my opinion.

Wow, that's awesome!!! You'll be passing the NCLEX with ease before you know it! I'm glad Anki is working well for you! I think I was the only one who used it in my program. I think nursing is sleeping on Anki, really. Maybe most people just associate it with med school. However, nursing students still have to retain a ton of information over multiple years. So, I don't know why it's not as popular. Anyways, I wish you all the best in your studies! 😎

Which one would you prefer sir, Ani or Remnote and why?
@NursingWithoutNotes3 ай бұрын
Personally, I haven't used Remnote. I find that Anki is perfect for me based on it's customization. Anki is simple, clean, and is essentially my second brain for anything I'm learning. If I take notes, it's usually in Notion. But I like to put any notes that I may have in the extra fields in Anki. That way I can review the material as the algorithm presents it to me. I created a new deck that I use for my ICU knowledge as well. 😎

hey great video, i have one quesiotn, how do u connect all the information in the cards, like when i use anki i feel like i cannot cconnect the things to the big picture and i was wondering how to get around this problem, Awesome tip about the minimum information principle!
@NursingWithoutNotes3 ай бұрын
Thank you for the kind words! Yes, Anki does isolate information. However, I've found that using mind maps (or concept maps) as a way of explaining the specific topics out loud (using the Feynman technique) to get around this problem. Also, this allows you to see all the information as a whole. I would then screenshot that and put it in the extra fields in Anki. This would allow you to practice the isolated information and glance at the big picture. I hope this helps! 😎

Hey Nursing without notes , really nice video! I was wondering if I could help you with more Quality Editing in your videos better than your Editor with good pricing & turnaround time and will also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your video to reach to a wider audience ! Lmk what you think ?

I'm not a nursing student, but through my entire college / high school experience, I always thought highlighting was useless. I unknowingly used this method throughout my entire education - its interesting to see a term applied to it. For example, if we solve a problem in class, and the result is negative, I would ask myself "why is it negative?" and explore the solution - all while the professor finishes writing something on the board. You have to justify the equation - have to consider why the equation is the way it is and why the result comes out the way it does. Pursuing your curiosity fills the gaps in your knowledge. Solving it yourself without help solidifies the process and allows us to memorize terms, equations, etc. In short, asking questions, being curious, & looking for connections is a fruitful & wildly more engaging & fun form of learning.
@NursingWithoutNotes11 ай бұрын
👏 Nailed it!!! I use the highlight feature in my nursing ebook. That's just for me to locate the information I want to write active recall questions for. The only thing I've found useful with highlighting in my other studies is it helps me locate certain information that I'm referring back to in my writings. But the highlighting itself has never helped the information stick.
