Being partially submerged the feed well also restricts the surface disturbance in the tank. That means when waster enters it won't disturb the clarified water.

The answer to your question depends since The filtration rate is controlled by several factors, including the effective particle size in the feed, the flocculated or dispersed state of the suspension, the viscosity of the liquid and the pressure applied during the filtration. Filtration test is carried out to get the cake formation data and filterability coefficient data. We also recommend filtration rate based on our experience in that application.
