I live in Virginia by the Chesapeake Bay and I fish a lot in my area. Picking up all the trash would be a never ending task. So I focus on stuff that will hurt wildlife. Picking up old line, hooks, bait containers, plastic stuff, and especially nets, is about all I can do. But it's better than leaving trash. In the Boy Scouts we were taught to leave a place better than we found it. That's still a good idea.
