I'd make more of the garden to make it look nice to look out onto on a grey day - perhaps a tranquil Buddha garden with chimes, bright coloured flowers & greenery?

Lovely, but bars on one window and not in the others? Not getting that. If security is an issue and you need any bars, it's not a good area.

A very well maintained time capsule- it’s totally charming. 1950’s middle class in aspic

What was once an amazing home has become a money making home. Such a shame that we are losing these stunning homes to modernisation. The lovely large rooms turned into tiny that works room. Its lost its character and charm such a shame. But people need affordable homes and this is what happens.

Lovely old house. Love all the original features, the shutters, the old doors and the ceilings. The kitchen needs to be extended, perhaps into the garden room. ❤

English houses are compartmentalized. Like every part of the house is in a drawer. The kitchen is a room in itself. The living area is also another. I don't know. It looks depressing that way. I feel walled in. Walls, walls, walls galore.

That house has no homely atmosphere - cold and stark. Needs a personality injection.

Couldn’t handle the negatives: below street entry, dampness and mold risk, flooding potential at the entry, and lots of wallpaper that needs to be removed.

I wish I could buy this place just so I can redecorate. The history and heart has been ripped out and replaced with superficial, modern, cheap looking, tasteless muck. I’m frankly disgusted.

Shut the bathroom door. You don’t want to enter a house and that’s the first thing you see.

It may be dated but its been well taken care of. I wouldnt change much. Maybe some wall paint colors. I would keep the kitchen and all the fireplaces and room doors are awesome. I think that gives it all its charm. I hate that modern crap, all that open floor plan. I think this house is absolutely lovely. But Im sure someone bought it and did something terrible to it.

Thats the busiest road in and out of edinburgh. It takes you to the Forth Road Bridge. I lived one street up berween this St and Geroge St. Theres no food shops etc nearby and no parking unless you want to pay a massive yearly fee.

Looks like it hasn’t been touched since the 1950s. Garden is lovely but the house would need an awful lot of work.

For a basement flat in downtown Edinburgh, not bad, but it looks like they just hung out at Ikea all weekend for the interior furnishings

Much larger rooms than I expected for a basement flat but I'd still live there in a heartbeat - although I'd prefer the upper floor for the sense of light and views - the upside of this one is the utterly charming garden area. Just lovely.

Wow that was a travel back in time! Big renovation needed to open up & update the interior. The back garden is gorgeous but the asphalt front is just horrible.
