@@drflopolopogus Nice! Looking forward to that!! I saw this video a couple weeks ago when searching buids. I went fire druid for my starter and it is ok but I just got gris set and will be switching to this. How does stormspire compare with act 3 merc? They use static right? or pus spitter? I guess they are kind of squishy for jousting?

@Lazris59 exactly that. They are both too squishy. Act 2 defiance or blessed aim aura works well with this build. And the static is way more consistent with stormspire. Another tip, get a pair of dracs before you start mapping or you will burn through rejuvs

Sure is, because there's a different way of building it for basically every damage type. 2h has more than enough damage to get started for s10 too.

Stormspire might be closer to infinity than you think especially since you're running inno.

Sorry for the long reply. Short answer yes. Act 3 holy shock was super good but is expensive to keep alive. Act 2 defiance merc is preferred for pdr/def. innocence+ stormspire is BIS for this build. infinity is not needed but the - enemy defense is very nice to have for the hit chance when below level 90

I tested on plugy, it works great but you will notice a difference in boss kill speed. The average damage is higher but the top end damage is much lower.

Yup, any damage you deal is applied then converted to magic/phys

Is this classic version? As in you own the disc? If so thank you. It's so difficult to find the original non-DRM version where the female characters are still lovely. I own my classic disc version and only care about that with PlugY. Remastered it myself with mods and simple GPU control panel options. No worries about server/internet issues. No in-game ads thank God.

I recorded this after staying up all night for a night shift, napping for 2 hours, then pounding an energy drink. So yah probably pretty stressed as a default setting by this point lol. I used to have high blood pressure but I have had no issues since starting to workout and dropping 40 pounds. Appreciate your concern but I promise I feel the best I've felt.

@@drflopolopogus oh and energy drinks contain chemical sludge, they r fukken poison, I'll share the youtube vid if ur interested. Black tea witth milk is a nice alternative; still has half the caffeine

@@drflopolopogus thx again for the vid, im gonna try for this with my season 10 starter, either this or fire bear pally, not sure which is better. They probably as busted as each other! Suppose it depends on what drops with initial farming. Doom shatttered wall pally looks tempting as well, but obviously requires a fair few runes and gear too. Good luck in s10!

This looked way too fun, I would love to try this build out! I have a rabies build that i could trade you (not GG like yours but pretty good) but I've never done ancients, first time PD2 player, let me know if you're interested!

Thanks but I'll pass! I already tried rabies this season, it's a fast mapper but I just don't like druids. You can piece this together for cheap. Plain offensive skillers are 2wss each and Griswolds with random slams are super cheap as well. Uber Ancients can be done just fine without using beast. The bear form just makes it a bit faster/safer.

I like the extra casts. But there are tons of options. The chest slot is flexible use it to fill what you're missing.

I didn't know what game this was until I clicked on it which I usually wouldn't have done. Put name in title would help people and with the searching of your video, I'm not a Diablo player I have no ideal what PD2 means, don't assume people know. I know other people do titles this way but its just counter intuitive. GL.

Hi man, thanks for the detailed video! I'm currently playing SSF but this build looks so cool, i have full griswolds but no gg slams or anything like that. you say it's still viable (if i don't go bear mode that is?) and second question is do i need the facets before i start using this build or can i start using it without the 5/5 facets? - mowl

Still viable for sure. Damage will lack some but quickly ramps once you get offensive skillers/lightning lcs.

Is a frost nova sorc with gg gear the fastest mapper of all builds? Im starting to wonder. Always thougth it was light zon / warcry barb/ gg bowazon

I think for season 9 Combustion sorc with a similar setup to this cold sorc is the defacto "speed clear" sorc build. The reason i chose cold is it is more flexible than fire for doing LOD content such as rushes.

Great video man. Having played all 3 of these builds extensively I can confirm that frost nova is peak cold sorc for mapping. Frozen Orb and Ice Barrage are way safer for HC and I usually start the season with one of those then transition to frost nova once I have good gear. I didn't try the Skull Collector setup this season but I know some HC sorcs had success with it. Looks great and quite safe with the gg merc setup, even without being able to block.

Yeah as a HC player I would have no issues playing frost nova once you get the merc setup. 200fcr might be too greedy until you can get the GG corrupts like 2x fcr sojs.

The -% dmg from teleport probably far outweighs the dmg bonus from 10 or so points in one frost nova synergy. I would guess that the frost nova build would be faster with pts in teleport. Since you do most of the damage in the first second when the dmg penalty from teleport is active.

Bone armor just synergizes so well with energy shield. It basically makes you immune to physical damage.
