What is your best cheapest musky rod in real?
@mistertwister18162 ай бұрын
Never been. Have some of the old catalogs that I cherish … can’t toss them even as I move to a new house. I got my first Muskie rod mail order years ago after speaking to a store rep … a St. Croix that was perfect for what I needed as a starter and what I still use today … thanks rep! Bucket list designation for sure. Time to stop talking and plan a visit.

For 50 years I've been side casting with a spinning rod with a 9 foot rod. Now they tell me I've been wrong my whole life LOL. I can outcast the best of them, in fact I bet I could win a casting competition. Just caught a big pike yesterday with dozens of fishermen all around me wondering how they can catch one LOL.

One of my favourite rods is the Diawa wilderness trolling rod it casts well it is capable of catching big musky and it costs 30$ it is grate

Never caught a musky in my life until about 3 weeks ago (although i did hook one but lost it) but since then ive caught 3 ,the biggest was about 48 inches, all of them caught on the 110 blugill pattern plopper!

It looks like a squid. The musky and pike are just off shoots of salt water barracudas. Squid is in the DNA memories of these fish. I have caught 40 plus inch Musky on a 7 inch salt water swim squid lure. They killed it every time! 15 fish in the boat on lake St. Clair on one cloudy afternoon. No video but this eyewitness to the fun. We killed them using salt water squid lures!

Nice to know all that. I'm new into baitcasting so any knowledge is good. Apart the fact that i'm right handed and prefer to use baitcaster with crank at left side. I started from usinf spinning reels and cranking with right hand is to awkward for me to handle. And i don't need to switch hands for casting so i can literally cast my bait directly from the water. It helped me yesterday - pike had problem with hitting my lure and because i could redoo the cast as fast as i could i managed to give him a lure when he was still looking for it.

Well I listened & bought 1 ( MH ) Rod, 1 ( 300 ) Reel. Although I did buy a half dozen Lures. Being irish if I did have bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all so I figure I'm bound to lose at least 1 lure better have a 2nd one on hand. Can't wait until September to fish the Chippewa Foliage. Thanks for all you help.

I Fish standing in a canoe. My feet are at water level. I prefer a 6’6” jerkbait length max, otherwise, the tip is hitting the water. Everything else is 8’6” or longer. My figure 8’s go under the canoe. .

I use right handed bait caster and left handed spinning rod....seems like I have much better control using my left hand on the spinning. Precise casting matters.

Great lure! But I’m pretty sure Poe’s Awaker, Dick Gries Topkicks, Lelure’s … preceeded this bait. Nonetheless it is an amazing bait

That's it? nothing about how to present it? Could've started with "This is an infomercial to hawk product, buy our stuff" & saved me some time. It's a Suick---- and not a peep about how to tune them? (BTW...everyone sells Suicks) Thumbs down. There's absolutely nothing informational in this vid
