Ylang ylang essential oil smells like banana in a way... Not the most delicious banana, but I believe it brings smoothness and creaminess to the perfume.

Some fragrances need to age, like wine. For example, sandalwood needs to age. A lot of citrus notes will fade with time and the base notes will get stronger.

i love this stuff. on me, the opening is the most feminine part. the rose/saphron combo is strong and sweet with the woods in the background. as it dries down, the incense like oud is prominent with the praline. to me, the dry down is the most masculine part and to me the best part of the fragrance. it has a nutty aspect to the fragrance that is also more detectable in the dry down. i’m a guy and wear this often, and compliments galore
