Sind es immer noch die alte Solalüfter die überhaupt nicht wetterfest sind und nach nicht mal 3-4 Jahren gar nicht mehr funktionieren dafür aber extra hessischen werden?🤬

Gut wäres es so zu konstruieren , das man eine frolie Unterlage , das bettzeug und Matratze drunter haben kann und es trotzdem schließen kann. Kondens ist der größte Schwachpunkt des Zeltes.

Ich finde die Markise genial da ich auf der Suche für unseren Jimny bin. 3 Seitewände wären nicht schlecht.

Guter Laden, habe mein Dachzelt incl.Zubehör dort online gekauft. Hat super gut geklappt und wurde sehr schnell geliefert. Das nun 6 Jahre her und das Dachzelt ist nach wie vor im Einsatz. Wenn ich ein neues brauche dann wieder gerne von Euch. Danke.

I would love this tent with 120, 125 place to lay and with some raincover at the side, one would be enough, to get in a lilbit dry… because when its rainy then is my 270 degree awning opened and u want to get in at the side… yeah the weight is interesting but with these facts i‘m thinking about getting a other tent even i would LOVE to buy an Alu-Cab. And isnt it possible to open the side windows to the other direction so when u get in at rain its a bit better? Soo many compromises just to get „the lightest good quality“ roof tent on the market? Hmmmmm…

What is the length of the bed? Total weight vs a rooftop tent? You cut out the structural braces in the roof, how have you maintained the rigidity vs the original? Not sure about this compared with a rooftop tent. Does not provide the versatility that other rooftop conversions like the Troopy and Defender provide due to the lack of length.

Until now this is still in prototype phase, so pls understand that we can not share any specific information because details like length and weight can still imporve or change. A look at the other roof conversion from Alu-Cab should give you a good overview about the details you are looking for.

@@Genesis-Import I would have thought the length of the bed is a pretty important spec? If you cannot fit in the bed then it sort of defeats the purpose, right?

@@nnoddy8161 You are correct, it is an important spec, but until the final product is not released we are cautious to reveal information that might not match the final results. The length and width of the matress inside the roofconversion will be revealed shortly, just a little bit more patience. We will keep you updated on that one. :)

Hello, with the new fabric, is it necessary to add the insulation kit ? And if so, how is rated the new fabric for cold / hot weather comparing to the other James Baroud models ? Thanks

For the Odyssey Tent, there is actually no Insulation kit avaiable, because the new fabric is thicker (3 layers) than in the other models. So in the winter is is warmer than the others and in the summer there are more than enough windows within the fabric to maintain a good sleeping temperature.

We’ve ordered an Odyssey from dreamteamcar in Valloire 2 days ago and added the insulation kit and on the invoice, it says insulation kit for Odyssey, so James Baroud must have added this recently. As i was an offered option on the fair, I will remove it and choose another option such as the small awning or the tunnel.

Der Ventilator ist dazu da, die Luftzirkulation im Dachzelt zu verbessern und die Kondensation zu reduzieren, also von innen nach außen.

Yes you can buy it for an Extra-Cab, it has about 70cm in height which comes on top of your Pick-Up bridge. The Weigh is 90Kg and you can carry addtional 50 kg on top. You can already buy it: modcap.de/products/bap-2758b37b-9cc1-4faf-b09e-1fa236779fd7 hope this will help you.

We currently can't give specific details in this case, while the product is still in the prototype phase and therefor there can be still changes. It is, the grenadier is a wider car so the tent is also a fair bit wider.

Those 4 door hinges look ratty on the front above the windscreen. Make some rubber flaps to hide the hinges. The fogs lost the origional beauty with the round lights. Top does look from the sides and back like it was designed very well. Did you try running a pressure water hose around the roof line for water ingress? I wonder what this word does for the Warranty? Overall excellent 5 out of 5 star work!

Bringt dieser Lüfter wirklich was? Ich hab ein Autohome maggiolina airlander plus und hatte bisher noch nie Probleme mit Feuchtigkeit im Dachzelt durch Kondenswasser oder so. Selbst wenn ich mal nah am Wasser stehe oder es nachts geregnet hat, hatte ich weder nasse Wände oder ne feuchte Decke, noch klamme Bettwäsche. Ich schlafe ja auch mit den beiden Fenstern in Fahrtrichtung offen und auch die Fenster in den Türen sind nachts halb offen. Und euer Zelt hier hat doppelt so viele Öffnungen wie meins mit dem 360° Fenstern. Und ich kann mir auch nicht vorstellen, dass der Lüfter das Zelt im geschlossenen Zustand trocknet… Also wofür ist der Lüfter denn da? :)

Der Lüfter dient hauptsächlich zur besseren Luftzirkulation, dass die Luft auch bei komplett zugezogenen Fenstern nicht im Zelt steht im Sommer. :)

Leider sind die nachrüstbaren Kederschienen für das Evasion M etwas zu kurz als die eingefasste Kederschiene beim Odyssey und damit würde die Markise an den Seiten etwas drüber stehen.

Hmm ich habe bei meiner AHk leider 72 kg zugelassene Stützlast. Wie sieht es aus mit dem mitnehmen von Fahrrädern? Irgendwelche Möglichkeiten abbaubar?

Man kann natürlich einen Fahrradträger auf das Dach-Rack montieren , klar :) gbt einige Kunden von uns die das bereits gemacht haben.

Frage zu den Halterungen. Sind das die originalen James Baroud von unten an die Alucab Querträger verschraubt? Wie viele nutzt ihr davon? Ist das stabil genug? Fragen über Fragen 😊 Ich habe das selbe Problem wie hier im Video, dass ich die Halterungen nicht oben auf dem Querträger verschrauben kann, da mein Grand Raid auch plan auf den QT aufliegt.

Die Lösung mit dem Solarpanel ist toll gelöst! Könnt ihr denn mal ein detailliertes Video darüber machen welcher Querstreben ihr verwendet habt und wie das Panel befestigt wurde? Ich habe das Zelt bei euch gekauft aber bin auf der Suche nach den Eingangsbuchsen für die Solarpanele auf dem Dach zur Durchführung. Grüße
