46:30 - you really didn’t have to call me out like that, pastor Brad😂 But thank you; I’m glad I encourage you, and your words encouraged me in kind.

Indeed it is an epidemic. I’ve been married to one for 34yrs. He has been able to twist things around to make me the fault for all his lies, his sexual sin, etc, etc. God has woke me up. I will no longer enable (cover up his sins) him. God never called us to live on any type of abuse. May the church finally come along side the spouse & confront the narcissist
@NewLifeWayland3 ай бұрын
I am so sorry for the abuse you have endured. While we all may have some narcissistic tendencies, there is something different and unique about people with NPD being enabled to abuse others. You are absolutely correct, God never calls us to live under the abuse of another. The church plays a critical role in helping people find freedom. "When Narcissism Comes to Church" has been a very helpful book for many in our church. If you need more one on one help, don't hesitate to email our admin ([email protected]) and we would love to get you connected with some resources.

53:58 - I have to disagree here. Nineveh was the Capitol of Assyria. Assyria was bloodthirsty, and their soldiers were relentless in war. Historical documents describe Assyrian soldiers cutting off the hands and feet of their foes to torture them. Even Nahum ends with a question to Assyria - “Who has not felt your endless cruelty?”. Nahum 1:15 described Assyria’s fall as a GOOD thing, even! I wouldn’t say it’s racism to view your foe in war as… a foe. And God wanted him to stroll into its Capitol and preach a message of destruction. I feel like Jonah’s desire for their destruction is perfectly justified from a human standpoint - Jonah son of Amittai is also mentioned in 2 Kings 14:25, and only 2.5 chapters later in 2 Kings 17:5, Assyria destroys Israel! However… we don’t serve a God who has human justification. We serve a God whose ways are higher than ours - and that’s one of countless reasons He’s so good.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Jesus’ Birth in Bethlehem 1Now it came about in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus, that a census be taken of all the inhabited earth. 2This was the first census taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria. 3And all were proceeding to register for the census, everyone to his own city. 4And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, 5in order to register, along with Mary, who was engaged to him, and was with child. 6And it came about that while they were there, the days were completed for her to give birth. 7And she gave birth to her first-born son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. 8And in the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields, and keeping watch over their flock by night. 9And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. 10And the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be for all the people; 11for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12“And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths, and lying in a manger.” 13And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.” 15And it came about when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds began saying to one another, “Let us go straight to Bethlehem then, and see this thing that has happened which the Lord has made known to us.” 16And they came in haste and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger. 17And when they had seen this, they made known the statement which had been told them about this Child. 18And all who heard it wondered at the things which were told them by the shepherds. 19But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart. 20And the shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them.

‘Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first‘ or else I am coming to you, and will remove your lampstand out of its place-unless you repent.
Oh holy night O holy night, the stars are brightly shining, It is the night of the dear Saviour’s birth; Long lay the world in sin and error pining, 'Till he appeared and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn; Chorus Fall on your knees, Oh hear the angel voices! O night divine! O night when Christ was born. O night, O holy night, O night divine. Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming; With glowing hearts by his cradle we stand: So, led by light of a star sweetly gleaming, Here come the wise men from Orient land, The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger, In all our trials born to be our friend; Chorus He knows our need, To our weakness no stranger! Behold your King! Before Him lowly bend! Behold your King! your King! before him bend! Truly He taught us to love one another; His law is Love and His gospel is Peace; Chains shall he break, for the slave is our brother, And in his name all oppression shall cease, Sweet hymns of joy in grateful Chorus raise we; Let all within us praise his Holy name! Chorus Christ is the Lord, then ever! ever praise we! His pow'r and glory, evermore proclaim! His pow'r and glory, evermore proclaim!

10I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, My soul will exult in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. 11For as the earth brings forth its sprouts, And as a garden causes the things sown in it to spring up, So the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise To spring up before all the nations.

Temptation of Jesus 1Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry. 3And the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” 4But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.’” 5Then the devil took Him into the holy city; and he had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, 6and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God throw Yourself down; for it is written, ‘HE WILL GIVE HIS ANGELS CHARGE CONCERNING YOU’;and ‘ON their HANDS THEY WILL BEAR YOU UP, LEST YOU STRIKE YOUR FOOT AGAINST A STONE.’” 7Jesus said to him, “On the other hand, it is written, ‘YOU SHALL NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST.’” 8Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory; 9and he said to Him, “All these things will I give You, if You fall down and worship me.” 10Then Jesus said to him, “Begone, Satan! For it is written, ‘YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY.’” 11Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him.

12Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. 13But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
