which roof racks do you have? I have a similar setup, but want more splay.

I've wanted to do the entire river from Sammamish to Lake Washington for years but in a canoe with two adults and two small kids. I wonder if the current will make it tricky though.

Good edit and fun. I have a much better idea of what to expect but the rewards too. Those were BIG fish!

Actually it was an angry river otter.

This brings back memories. Back in the early 80’s, I used to drop in the Clatskanie river under the Olson Rd. bridge and float down to that boat ramp. I’d hang around in town for a bit and then row against the current back to Olson Rd. Of course, I didn’t have a nice kayak - I had a cheap Sevylor inflatable boat.

Did you guys camp out too? My wife and I canoed Diablo, got caught up in some scary wind coming back out of the canyon. Can't wait to paddle it in my kayak.

This is so cool to see! I work right by the river, can see the trail from the space I am in, and I have seen that eagles nest at almost daily. I've been on those steps at Luke McRemond park countless times, and seen that bridge which use to be a railroad even more. Plus the whole Bothell Landing area and that bridge/playground area! It is a modest river, but no river has ever been part of my regular life like this one has been, so thank you for giving me another perspective of it! Pretty sure I have even seen that exact heron.

how do you like that kayak and Greenland paddle ? I someday want a really good touring Kayak and seen these Eddylines and Delta Kayaks both seem like good choices from REI. Any idea on the Delta brand vs Eddyline ?

Is there 4 wheelers allowed on this trail?

Beautiful area, thanks for sharing. Great to see more of Deception Pass. On our last trip we visited Bowman Bay and Deception Island and got some nice aerial video, but there is so much more to see, and paddle. Here is the video I put together from our trip kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpXKhJJvd9lga68

Beautiful video! Does the Sitka feel stiff or flexible when paddling? Is it hard to carry to the water or can you get your shoulder in the cockpit to carry it? Thanks!

Great video. Did you speed it up, or is that the actual speed. Were you riding the tide?
@nicolasjoelsadventures4703 жыл бұрын
Its actual speed. There is some current but Sitka's are pretty fast. I can cruise at 4 MPH and up to 8-9 MPH for sprints. The part under the I-5 overpass has a lot of current.

you need to do a video review on your boat and gear
