Nice job and I agree with you use what parts you have on hand I fixed a toro lawnmower that I found in the trash that needed a new cable and I so happen to have a another trash find toro with the same cable I needed and after I put the cable on it started right up I didn’t even have to clean the carburetor I have advice for you if you want free lawnmowers look on the curb on trash day you will find some especially around October cause people don’t want to store them till next summer and they buy a new one also in the spring time you will find a lot of lawnmowers in the trash I love free lawnmowers

I do this sort of a thing as a side hustle and have for few years. Just my opinion, but i never pay near full blown retail for a non running mower. It was evident that something had been hit with the blade. That could cause a multitude of issues that are not as cheap and easy to fix. At most, i pay $50. That way you can always strip the mower of parts and get out okay. Now in my area, that mower without a bag is worth about $175, maybe $200 at the height of the season. As far as mistakes go, ive made every single mistake you made and still learn new things every weekend. Good video and congrats on the baby boy

😂 My tattoos don’t make me a tough guy and I don’t claim to be. I didn’t even realize the dislike button wasn’t there, but once I figure it out I’ll fix it so you can hit that dislike button if you’d like to try to hurt my protected feelings. You’d think I’d disable commenting as well if I was worried about my feelings getting hurt 🤷♂️. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go cry about something else 😭

New gas push mowers are $300 plus at the big box stores, ridiculous. Definitely worth fixing up a decent free push mower. I find them on Craigslist free stuff in my area. I even make a few bucks selling them.

Good luck on your posting and family enlargement, and you seem to have enough repair knowledge to share. I agree to the idea of hearing you explain as you do the work, would save editing typing and keeps viewers interest. Why did you poke your finger in the carby on the filter housing removal? Checking for oil or carbon or something else and what it would mean. Also, wouldn't it be better to put the fuel cut off before the filter?
@YogisNoviceGarage2 ай бұрын
@@Brushmarx1 Well to answer your question about why I put my finger in the carb, I noticed some liquid on the outer edge and it seemed a bit oily at first. I did mean to explain this, but I forgot so thanks for asking. As far as the position of the fuel filter and the shut off valve, I have checked this before installing these parts before and based on what I have found by putting the filter first helps prevent any crud getting in the valve. I’ll look more into it though since you asked because now I’m more curious. Lastly, I won’t really go into too much detail why I didn’t do further commentary in this video, but I will implement it in my future videos. Thanks for wishing me luck with the addition to the family. He was born healthy and is doing great. Thanks again for your comments and questions, they help me learn 👍

yes the shut off should be first out of the tank.

In my area I sell the stihl fs56rc trimmers easily for $200 within a few days of listing, as long as they have the shield (which yours did) you literally down traded
