a "significant" decline? What the heck kind of definition is that? Needs to have a quantitative value and not something that is subject to whomever is looking at the data. Why would Schwab pick that as the measuring stick for this video as that measuring stick has no fixed length and changes depending on who is holding it and their opinion of how long the stick is.

That definition is from the National Bureau of Economic Research, the official arbiter of U.S. recessions. It's vague because it's hard to know when a recession is happening until it has already happened. You're not going to get a clean answer because there isn't one.

In the window where you login with user id and password, go to the bottom of that block. You'll see the phrases of Live Trading and paperMoney. If you are not seeing these then you have already logged in without changing over to paperMoney or perhaps you are using the web version. The web version allows you to switch from Live Trading to paperMoney at the top of the screen. ^CH

Intersting video, but How MUCH money would i make with RSI? Did you run a BACKTEST on it? I HAVE, and I will POST a video soon. What I found is RSI made HUGE LOSS in 2024! You should be able to as long as you have privledges to do so. I just tested mine and it worked just fine. If you need a representative you look at your account with you, call call 800-435-4000 to review this with a specialist . ^CH

OCO can't be placed for futures on TOS, is it possible to change that and let OCO for Futures options /ES, /NQ etc

OCO orders on futures are problematic at the exchange level due to the possibility of a low liquidity/high volatility contract moving quickly and triggering both sides of the OCO before cancellation has taken place. The exchange (not the broker/dealer) even says it's a best attempt scenario to execute/cxl an OCO bracket order. ^BW

How do you save drawings for a stock and pull up another? For example, you did your drawings for TM and now what to go look at TSLA, but you still want to save and come back to your TM drawings later?

All drawings using the Drawing Tools in the thinkorswim ecosystem are persistent. Thus, you can switch to another symbol, then return, and your drawings will be available. ^BW

Hi. Make sure they you are on the downloaded version of thinkorswim software, not the web version. They look different and mechanics are slightly different. If you are not seeing what is being shown on the screen, my suspicion is that you are on the web version. It functions equally in live and paperMoney. ^CH

James you are a fantastic teacher! I have been flailing trying to keep up with the beginning options 12 week class and I couldn't pick up the underlying detail understanding AND all the "lingo." The detail that you provide in this class is superb and I hope to find more like this - can you direct me to more option strategy classes like this? there is so much education it's a little daunting to try and hunt through all the course listings.

Michele. Going through the 12 week series over and over again will help and many people do that. Make sure to review the two option courses designed for beginners. They are: Options for Beginners: Income Strategies and Directional Options: Single Options and Spreads. Also select a strategy and paper trade it a lot and attend the specific strategy webcast. One example would be Long Options. It is hard to learn all strategies at the same time so it can be helpful to initially choose one or two strategies and focus there. I hope this helps. ^CH
