All these these have problems just go to your local off-road store buy a battery case by appropriate off-road winch. I’ve been using my 6000 pound off-road winch from Harbor freight for 10 years to pull my boat up never once has it broke never once had to use a manual mode in boat loads perfect every time, make sure your battery is full before you leave your homebase in your set to go and ask for years no problems make sure the ones you buy is at least 1000 pounds heavier than the boat you’re trying to pull up

I ordered something like these. My door is 3/8 inch thick at the bottom. But you have to fit the narrower part on first. It doesn’t fit. I do have a frame on the bottom of my door. The narrower part needs to be more flexible.
