The last part about the integrity of the bloodline... I actually get it. Kings, they said, answers a call from God in their duty (Queen Mary covers this in an episode). A representative of God will not present with illnesses and such. They will be full of health and pure to govern God's people. If history has taught us anything, that appointee is NOT a British monarch... Not even a Catholic one.

An angry selfish vengeful person who manipulated all around her to suit her own agenda. How exhausting it must have been for Elizabeth to have to battle her, the govt and the household while being Queen as well

The reason she hated David and Wallace was because he turned her down! , and the reason he really called her " Cooky' She was the illegitimate daughter of the Cook, well known within Royal circle's!

If King Edward VIII the Duke of Windsor had not given up the throne, who would have succeeded him if he passed while being king??? He didn't have any children... Wouldn't George VI, Elizabeth's father automatically become king anyway and Elizabeth later be queen??

Callas was an artis who appreciated her gift. She gave it to all, sacrificing her life, her voice and herself.. She should be celebrated as CALLAS, THE VOICE FROM BEYOND. Such i.nterviews would not have been accepted at our times (hopefully). These people like walls were always there to make themselves important. They never cared for the person, the talent or anything else. Maria Callas would stay on with us. Wallace's would fail away.

The interviewer tries to be bigger, smarter etc. But he is just ridiculous. She was one of a kind and he had an opportunity to be in front of the Diva. but he acted as a supreme authority and voice of reason. Maria Callas was unique. She should have been protected from the misery of others.

If manners make a person, and not their birth, then the Queen Mother - twentieth century dentistry's greatest failure - was nothing but a peasant and a frumpy drunk. She was mean, rude and a truly pathetic human. A retroactive and regressive figure. I really don't know how the public were so fooled into adoring that grey-toothed witch so much. She epitomises British Royal snobbery which shows that they are really nothing but German peasants who got lucky and stole enormous swathes of land. Pirates really. Nothing more. She wasn't even of Royal blood yet lorded herself over others as if she were still Queen.

The Queen Mum was despicable and racist and acted entitled throughout her life. I don't think she had one ounce of redeeming assets. She even said she wasn't as nice as some people said she was. QEII should have put a stop to her nasty remarks about Phillip and his mother. If she spoke about my husband like that, I would have thrown her out until she agreed to show respect for him.

Plus there is nothing to gossip about. As she said she had a huaband then a lover. Big deal. They were trying to make sth out of nothing. Superficial sensationalist bs. These are the kind of people who badgered Diana and Amy Winehouse. You get the historical opportunity to talk to a genius, and you waste it cuz your boss at the sun wants some juicy title tomorrow. Its like I speak to Da Vinci and ask if he is gay. They did a disservice to humanity, bc thats all we will ever have of her.

Callas should have run the Met. Bing should have listened to her demands because I bet they were all reasonable. Nobody cared about him. He was easily replaceable but she was one of a kind. Denying New Yorkers that talent that is one in a century should have been a crime and he should have been the one fired.
