Thanks for the shout out! I have always gotten tons more done at crops than I do at home. At crops, I can chat and craft or just put on my headphones and retreat into my crafting. At home there is the laundry, the dog, the phone, and all the other things that distract me. Also, I find that I am most productive at the away crops, where I can craft as late as I want and I am not distracted by any “home life.” To me it is a retreat in the truest sense. I loved your layouts and was in love with your grid page and the flowers you got off the free table. They were gorgeous and matched your title beautifully. I hope your cropping continues and we get to see more videos like these last two. They were so fun to watch!

I look forward to seeing all you accomplished. It was great to finally get to say hello.

I always take inks, stamps and dies and die machine. Did you miss not having access to them? I can’t wait to see your layouts. It’s sounds like you accomplished alot
@liselovespaper3 ай бұрын
No, I didn’t miss those things, but that’s because I don’t often use my stamps or dies. I tend to prefer to use stickers and premade ephemera/die cuts. Do you do primarily scrapbooking or card making, or both? I’m curious because I find that people who use stamps and dies tend to do more card making. I find it fascinating!
@Nurse673 ай бұрын
@@liselovespaper scrapbooking 99% of the time. I use ink on almost every layout but not always my stamps. More of a mix media touch. I use my dies to make ephemera using the paper in my kit. Mostly shapes for layering or making frames etc

You did a great job. One suggestion. Instead of glue, you might try red line tape around the edges. It has a very strong hold and isn’t messy. I do think using glue in the center makes a lot of sense. What a beautiful mailer. It almost makes me want to buy something from Altenew to get such a pretty mailer😉

Hi Elise! I absolutely LOVE this series of Kit catch ups!! Your layouts are amazing and I just love seeing the progession. Can I ask a few questions.. Where do you end up donating to? I'm just wondering if I should scour my local thrift store more often haha. I'm also curious when you find the best time to scrap, with your kiddos being home for summer. Is it chunks of time or do you come and go from the layouts, early or late? Thanks so much! You're doing great!
@liselovespaper5 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! I have a local art resale business near me that takes scrapbooking stuff, but in the past I have donated to thrift stores and similar. As far as finding time to scrap, it’s honestly just pockets of time, usually in the afternoon. I don’t do well with 10/15 min here and there, so I don’t go scrap unless I can devote an hour or more to it. But I do sometimes leave a layout partially done and finish it later. It helps that my kids are older and very independent. Plus, they have space in the same room as my scrap area so we often will work together in the same space, doing different things. Great questions, let me know if you have any more!
@Primandplanning5 ай бұрын
@@liselovespaper Thank you so much! I absolutely love your channel and your work.. and this series of yours is my fave! So I do actually have another question! I'm a newbie to 12x12 spreads so what makes you more interested in buying "mixed" kits from Mercy Tiara or Hip Kit instead of buying the coordinating items from the collections/ company (ie. Pebbles - Cool Girl collection) and do the same sort of creations with the collection? I hope that makes sense!
@liselovespaper5 ай бұрын
@Primandplanning Totally makes sense! I think it comes down to how you scrap, honestly. I have tried working from a single collection and it just frustrates me because I often can’t find what I want or need within a collection. I have always preferred to mix and match bits and bobs to get exactly what I want. (For example, I’ll know my layout needs a hit of black, or a large embellishment, but often a single collection won’t have any black, or an embellishment the right size or shape.) It also feels more me, and more interesting to me visually. I know lots of scrappers are the opposite and prefer to know that everything matches and “goes” without having to think about it. So there’s no right or wrong way, it’s just that those types of kits work better with how my brain works when I scrap. Hope that answers your question!
