Wow!! Ted is a sweetheart. I met him backstage in Toronto in the 90's when he and Carl Anderson played in the show. I still have their autographs! Both are great people.

Ok hear me out: if Disney's Robin Hood had a stage musical, this would be early in the play when PJ first arrives and just before he's deceived by the fortune tellers, with Hiss cheerfully providing backup vocals. But around the end of the play at the "hang Friar Tuck" scene we get a dark reprise where the instruments sound a little more disjointed and the tune chaotic, to reflect PJ's deterring mental state, he sounds more like he's barely holding back from screaming in rage and the lyrics begin to show his love of being King had shifted from a love of wealth into general excitement to intimidate this town at last. Meanwhile Hiss is either barely audible (and if heard at all it's kinda soft and shaky) or dead silent to reflect how terrified of PJ he's become and how PJ's gone too far, and is really only holding onto subjects like Hiss through fear, not the respect the song at the beginning would imply.

Thanks for this. Wonderful to see after loving the film since it first came out. Could have been on the DVD or the Blu-Ray.

I wonder Who would win in battle- Superman or an army of Jedi. ? Actually, they would probably make a great team ?

2024 Y me sigue gustando ésa versión. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Margot Kidder died 2018, 2 years after Carrie Fisher, but was born 8 years before her. Both portrayed iconic female lead characters in the science fiction genre.

It took a amazing cast and crew to put this Legendary film together,Marlon Brando,Christopher Reeve,Margot Kidder,Gary Cooper, as well as the rest of the cast and incredible crew of cameramen, lighting, set design, special effects including wires to make the flight of Superman believable also the craftsmen who built the amazing sets of this movie. All that hard work paid off,and this movie version of “Superman”has become one of the greatest movies ever produced involving this iconic character.

Fascinating to see how the sets were so huge back then, with no expense spared as everything is done in camera, even the camera spinning instead of just doing it in post. And all on a budget that's many times less than the latest movies which don't look half as good with their digital backgrounds.

Great movies and simple times. No vulgarity, No nudity, No over the top violence and excessive gunfights. Just a plain and simple great script and fun entertainment. I saw this back in 1978 and loved it ever since.
