The skin is Frostfang Barioth CB, but the actual weapon is the Kjarr Strongarm Ice. The Frostfang CB is unfortunately impact phials.

I've heard online that charging the shield gives 2 levels of guard so level 5 guard might be unnecessary

This. Guard 1 is usually enough for CB.

2 levels for charging your shield, and then another 2 if you guard point.

There is a secret reason. The guard has 4 hidden levels (totally 9). So, if you have the guard at level 5 in base, and then you charge your shield (+2 secret points) and use the guard point (+ 2 points) you can achieve the best guard capacity.
