The lack of future planning describes my boyfriend of the past almost two years TO A T. He CONSTANTLY says, "You're always worried about the future and making all of these plans. Why can't you just enjoy where you're currently at and live in the moment?" Then, whenever I bring up plans for the weekend during the week, he'll typically say something like, "Let me just get through today." It drives me batshit crazy. I will give him credit in that ever since we first started dating 21 months ago, he has spent the entirety of all but two weekends with me, and the last weekend we weren't together was over a year ago. He is also rock solid in his communication during the week when we're apart and is super consistent with his texting and calling and even stops by to see me on his way to work early in the morning and then on his way home in the afternoon. We have also spent every single holiday together. He has never once canceled plans on me, but getting him to commit to plans even a week in advance is nearly impossible and he usually won't fully commit until a day or two before, which is super frustrating for me, especially since we always go out of town on the weekends and need to book Airbnbs or hotels, which can be a huge pain to do last minute. He is also totally avoidant about the topic of moving in together, which is something that I really want, especially after almost 2 years of dating. He went through a turbulent divorce years ago and never wants to get married again, which I am fine with. I'm a widow and had a pretty rocky marriage as well. He is also 16 years older than me and he admits that I came into his life totally unexpectedly, as he did mine. All that I want is to at least be able to talk about cohabitation. I don't know. I love him so much and he is the only one I want to be with, so I guess we'll just have to see how it plays out.

Bottom line how does he make you feel ladies. If he fails then there is no chemistry and move on. Like he said a real partner has to pass the test, your test 😊
