Why wouldn’t use state the temperature setting and time from the beginning? I don’t think the temperature was mentioned at all.

I love the way your explanation is clear and concise. Watched a few other videos before this that were more confusing. We're cooking a home cooked recipe for our dog with allergies which was formulated by a nutritionist and this video is going to help with the cooking process...thank you!!! 😊

Love this idea. Not having a stove or oven, most everything I eat comes from the crackpot or microwave. Baked potatoes in the microwave are not my favorite. Will be trying this. What I put on a Baked potato, oddly, perhaps, are poached eggs, butter, green onions and pepper. Oh, I know, yuck 😢. But I like it. ❤

Why not get seasoning with salt?!?! The stupidity of some people is just mind blowing, especially when they put their stupidity on full display.

Bc some people watch their health and food intake I mean if you wanna use salt that’s all you but why criticize someone for not using it

You don't need oil. Just a little cooking spray. The burgers make their own oil. Checker's cooks their burgers frozen, no oil needed.

get yourself a drill and sanding attachment. Sand the flat side to a smooth finish (not mirror smooth so your seasoning can stick), Season it, and NOTHING will stick to it. I did this to mine last weekend. Only regret is not doing it sooner.

I use lard. I do wash mine...briefly. i try not to soak any cast iron. And dry your pans, skillets thoroughly... preheat oven at 220°C or 450F Turn your stove on to medium setting. Place your skillet on top to gently heat. Add 1tbs of Lard. Allow the lard to melt. Run a rag around the inside, the sides, the base, and handle. Make sure you remove any of the excess oil...because if you forget this vital step, your cast iron pans will become sticky!!! You don't want that to happen. Trust me. Now, if you have a skillet, make sure you turn it upside down when placing into the oven. All cast iron should go at the centre of the oven for the heat to be distributed evenly. How long into the oven? 1 HOUR, however I'd check on it regularly. Cast iron fans, open those windows, have the vent on, because your kitchen can become smoky. Whilst cast iron is wonderful to cook with, the smoky seasoning of all cast iron can become unpleasant, so please do keep that in mind. You can swap out the lard oil for Grapeseed oil. This may help reduce the amount of smoke whilst seasoning your cast iron kitchen tools. I appreciate this video, and the creator herself for inspiring so many to not fear cast iron, but to embrace it love and care. And she really does care for her griddle. God bless your heart and soul 🙏

believe Lodge mostly preseason to prevent rush while storing in warehouses, shipping, and in stores. Like brands that don't preseason usually ship their cast irons with a beeswax coating that is a pain to wash off, Lodge just simply do a light seasoning to make the beeswax less necessary
