The lower you mount the bracket the less the cover will be in the air when the cover is off of the tub. From other instruction if the center bottom hole is mounted 8” down from the spa shell the cover will be up 75% and needs 9” of rear clearance. If mounted 12” down then the cover will be 50% in the air and needs 15” of clearance. I don’t know of you can go lower than 12” because I’d like to have the cover just above the ground because my tub in in an enclosure like a shed with windows. It’s not also says to measure 9” from the end of the spa rear to the center of the lowest hole.

I have the same one, so your saying the 2 on the bottom are hot then you skip the 3rd one from bottom then neutral on the very top? Is that correct?

@@hulk6164 Neutral and ground shouldn't be bonded together here - only at the main panel. There's a separate ground bar in the lower right corner that the grounds should be landed on.

Hey thanks for the video. I have a three person vector and only one jet button. I'm trying to figure out how to keep the tub from running all night. I can get it into soak but after one hour the jets kick back in. I know there is a way but no idea been pushing buttons the last two days. Any clues? Thanks in advance!

Why the hell is all the ground wires on the neutral bar and not just the ground lug?
@dfweliteservices3269 Жыл бұрын
I honestly couldn’t tell you boss. Sounds like a job for an electrician. As far as I can tell. It won’t make a difference. Maybe it was just easier to ground at the neutral bar so you don’t have to worry about short wires (less maneuverability)…maybe. As long as you follow the wiring diagram given in instructions everything should be fine
@chaseblacketer67249 ай бұрын
That could literally kill someone putting ground on neutral bar

@dfweliteservices3269 Жыл бұрын
Those spas are a little more complicated because of the siding of them. In the Spa School video you can see where it is mounted “I think”. But the bracket where arm connects should not be touching the cabinet. Be careful because the screws can pull the siding up if not done correctly.

Is there any guidance on what to torque the screws to? Most high-amperage breakers have torque specs, so I would expect this to have some as well.

I would just tight by hand as you can damage panel by drill. Give the wires a tug with some needle nose pliers to ensure they are secure. Couldn’t tell you about torque

How much clearance is needed ?
@dfweliteservices3269 Жыл бұрын
Sorry I couldn’t answer in time. If it’s top clearance it is 3 inches longer that total length of spa cover and back usually requires about 32inches. The cover opens at an angle on the back end. Sides require about 5 inches.

I have this on our swim spa, do you think we could a a hydraulics or something o make it a little easier? I don’t have much problem with it but it’s still pretty hard on the wife to lift it. Any ideas are much appreciated
@dfweliteservices32692 жыл бұрын
They’re pretty standard for those spas. It honestly depends on the model of swim spa you have. I know some swim spas have that odd bow shape to the sides and can pull siding or warp the lifter. I know they make a roll back tarp kind of one for swim spas you might want to look into as well.
