I went to ducktail 2 years ago. Won’t go back . I always thought people were just cruising the circle. Didn’t realize they were spending half the day looking for a spot. I will save my $30. Go to the swap meet on Friday, and never show again

Getting there. Should be back on the road here pretty quick. I have found that dawn dish soap works pretty decent for sliding plug wire boots and cleans up really easy.

I dig the car . . . don't get me wrong I'm a Chevy guy thru and thru, but 60's gassers are cool regardless of make and model. Can't wait to really get started on my '63 Nova gasser build, hopefully soon! Looking forward to some video of this car making some licks at the track.

What spindles are you using? Stock 6 cyl steering?

This car is an old drag car. it is a factory v8 car. They put 6 cylinder steering on it because that's what they had the tie rod ends were not very compatible. With the V8 spindles. Therefore I switched to Granada spindles and then I got the adapter shims from Mustang Steve

It's getting tighter every year. If you aren't jumping thru the gate Wed morning, you don't have a spot for the weekend. So, if you live OUT of town or STATE, you're screwed. Something needs to seriously change.

Haven't watched yet, but I already know this will be a good one. - edited to say- I gotta say I heard more than one person complain about cones and tape holding spots that didn't get used till way later in the day. Nice look around the park as you had to circle to find a spot though.

@SideMoneyGarage as the day got crowded, it became more like a Circus than a car show. Some of the rudest people I've ever seen. My girlfriend had to catch her 8 year old after a grown man knocked into him. Then she got shoulder check at least five times by full grown men. When she got back to me we decided to go to Fairmount.I've been going for years, and I'm gravitating to James Dean more and more. Had one person accidently run into us over there, and they apologized profusely. Nice change from Gas City.

@@CruiserNation Ducktail now feels like the local county fair and people are treating it as such - free entertainment for the locals who do NOT have a classic car. Nor do they care about the cars or giving them respect. I heard many spectators complaining of exhaust fumes and exhaust noise.

If i had the money I'd do this, but I would weld the 2 back doors and push the back of the top to the front a couple inches, making the trunk look long like a 59 impala
