Hi. Are you still using the bike with the fuel dongle? Could you please measure the resistance of both resistors it includes? Can not get it from any factory delivering to my country (. So can make it myself easily then. They say the required values are 1M Om and 300 Om. But I am not sure if it just to replace the o2 sensor to trick the ecu or it will change AFR at the bottom as well. Thanks

@Twedymoto

It can be found somewhere around the battery/ecu. You should be able to lift the ecu out without disconnecting it. It could be pushed down the side of somewhere. If you have a newer than 2022 bike, they may have changed it (I sold mine and haven't kept up to date with them). Hope this helps.

Interesting about the intake noise with the Rottweiler system. The stock airbox and snorkel are designed that way to keep noise down. I know it can make more power with the full intake replacement, but it has plenty already with Rottweiler's mapped PC6 and a Yosh can. Intake noise is generally a flapping "bicycle cards in the spokes" sound and it is ugly. Revs up and on the cam it can sound cool, but it is just too much. Too bad the stock airbox is a bit of a pain in the ass to re-install after removing. Taking the battery out is a must when dealing with the stock airbox for sure. Speaking of the Yosh, it has a spark arrestor insert which probably helps noise a little. It is a long can, extending to below the turn signal, which is good as it can't melt it. The Yosh is a straight through with no DB killer in the cap, so it is loud when you romp on it. A near 700cc cylinder is going to make some noise. I also have a Super Tenere with a Yosh slip on, it is not nearly as loud despite the can being shorter. I figure it is because my Super T still has the catalytic converter in it. The honeycomb of the CAT kills a lot of noise. I wear ear plugs when I ride, no real bother, but I try to be respectful when riding around pedestrians and such. It is still quieter than a straight pipe Harley and we have lots of those here in the US 😆

Thanks for the video! I am a "KTM fuel injection Beta Tester pioneer" as I own a '10 Husaberg FE450, which had injection before the KTM line did and of course being nothing more than a very confused KTM, my 'Berg (as was very common with them) had fuel pump issues. A Cycleworks pump was/is the hot ticket for those bikes. The in tank guts of your 690 look the exact same as my 13 year old Husaberg, which makes me wonder if KTM has learned anything at all since then 😄 The Cycleworks pump is not prone to polluting the fuel filter with black stuff, and it has proven to be stone reliable in my 450. I may proactively get a Cycleworks for my 701 and keep my new low mileage OEM pump as a spare. I elected to delete the in tank Mahle fuel filter on my old 450, and am running an external 10 micron Wix metal canister filter that I replace annually. Replacing the external filter on the old 'Berg with it's funky 70 degree engine layout is super easy, takes 10 minutes, tops. Have had no fuel system issues since tossing the failed OEM pump into the garbage can and doing the external filter modification on my old Husaberg. Actually, that bike has been completely reliable since the initial fuel pump issue was addressed. I wonder if there is enough room to do a similar external fuel filter mod for my 701. For sure a slim Golan filter would work, but I would want to use the not big but bigger (and cheaper) Wix filter if the in tank Mahle filter is removed. It looks like there may be enough room if I plan it out right. That is the good thing about Winter - it is a good time to fuss around with the bike! Will probably see if I can get a Wix filter in at or near the quick connect area, and leave the stock in tank one in place for a season or two, then do the bypass mod. The fewer times one has to unscrew those self tapping fuel pump base plate mounting into plastic screws the better...
