Sounds similar to my issue. It’s intermittent. I have a 2000 5th wheel and it’s the Atwood/dometic version of that old one. I might wanna swap mine too.

I was wondering if anyone has worked through a travel company/recruiting company for the school year? I am negotiating contracts and there are clauses in there that make me uncomfortable to sign. Specifically, the Minimum Hours Worked Penalty. I intend on working all 35 hours per week, but life happens, and I rather not get penalized if I miss an hour for whatever reason that might be. Does anyone have experience in this? The recruiter is saying that "they do not take anything out or omit anything from the contract as these are standardized contracts and don't usually adjust or change verbage out." I feel like contracts are negotiable. Can anyone tell me how this may work in a school setting? Also, if you have done a contract with travel pay and stipend: if the contract states that it is a 7 days per week stipend did you get the stipend even over the weekends and/or holidays? For context, I will be working in NYS. My recruiter says under NYS laws they cannot enforce the Minimum Hours Work Penalty. Does anyone have experience with this? Additionally, regarding the stipend he says he will be doing over a 7 day week, but if there is a holiday than I will not receive the stipend that day, but "should" still receive it over the weekend? Does anyone have experience with this? And since school have half days will you still receive the daily stipend?

I love this setup! So cool that you get to go to a dream location AND share space with another family. Thank you for sharing all the creative ways you make travel with kids possible. Also you should definitely take those babies to the slopes! One PT at a contract we were at had 4 yr old twins that had been skiing for over a year already and they looked like adorable tiny humans out there!

Hi there. Would you be able to tell me based on your experience that the stipend is paid per day for the days you work (5 days per week, if you work 5 days a week) or 7 days per week (based on the time you're away from your home of record)? I am being told a couple things by recruiters but the contract itself sounds different from what they say. For example, I am told I can be given $19.25/ hour and $125 x 7 (7 days a week); $20/hour and $145x6 (6 days a week). Just to name a few option that the recruiter is telling me. However, when I ask if this is 7 days a week or 6 days a week no matter what they aren't sure and/or they say "I think if there is a holiday and you have the day off on a Thursday, you'd only get paid a stipend for 6 days a week instead of 7 days." Quoted from my recruiter. But that doesn't make much sense to me. Because then they are saying they wouldn't pay the stipend for the holiday (a day I'll have off), but they would still pay it for the weekend. DO you have advice on how stipends are generally distributed? I am looking at school positions so there are a lot of days off, yet I'll still be away from my home of record and paying for two places. TY

Hello Ryan and Megan just found your web site and it looks like I'll be watching more videos because I just recently bought a 1993 bounder class A identical to yours Colors and all. Currently I'm stuck where I'm at in Texas because it keeps running hot and because of finances, anyway I really love this thing is so quiet and smooth riding I can't wait to get it fixed. It was a one owner (a couple ) and they kept it in pretty good shape. It only has 63,000 miles on it but no generator so I got it for $5,000 and I bought a used generator. Not bad my name is Jerry

Do y’all typically find travel team jobs at same facility? If so any travel companies that have had better luck with?
@RyanMegan4 ай бұрын
A majority of the time we find team jobs at the same facility. But we have had to work for different facilities within a commutable distance a few times. CoreMedical Group seems to have quite a few team jobs, but a lot of the travel companies we work with usually have various team jobs or are willing to ask the facility to open up 2 jobs compared to 1.

You'll love Denver! I'm from Denver, but currently we travel. People ask what our favorite area is and I respond 'Denver and Colorado', ha! There's so much to do. Bike paths all throughout the metro area, parks, local hikes (Red Rocks Park, Apex Park, Mt Falcon, Mt. Galbraith, Green Mountain) Great local state parks Cherry Creek and Chatfield. All have easy family friendly hikes. You can SUP and Chatfield has a good bike path. Take some days off in the middle of the week for skiing or winter sports. I70 turns into a parking lot in the early am for ski season

Also what are the chances of me being able to find part-time work as a PTA in California (not traveling, at one location)? Is it common? uncommon? Totally unlikely?
@PauahiKinimaka5 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for all this info! You guys are awesome! I do have a question though. Let's say hypothetically I’m a PTA who only wants to work a portion of the year (as a travel PTA). Would agencies be ok accommodating that? Or would they prefer someone who works all year?

Just use the low voltage Honeywell with the two 12 volt batteries and you'll be all set. I like to keep it simple, non-programmable, heat only, two wire installation.
