I want to commend you on taking the steps to start your emergency fund. While I know 1,000 will not solve every problem it gives a peace of mind knowing you have something.

I think this book has so many great talking points related to finances and I love the biblical component. It’s something that I will periodically pick up throughout the year even when I am not on a financial fast. I am glad you are getting value from it.

I have only completed financial fasts; however, I plan on completing my first 3 day fast in the near future here. Do you have any tips ?

@ I normally do different fasting throughout the year. Social media fasting, fasting from things I typically consume or most importantly when I just need to to hear something from God. The tip I can give is when you are wanting to do the things you are fasting from dig deeper into prayer and your word, it truly helps.

A few years ago when I came across this book I was definitely like this book is for me and each year I continue to participate in the fast because it brings that much value to my life. I usually don't read multiple books at a time but because they are all about different things I think it will be okay. I just started 100 days of believing better and I am enjoying how simple/direct the daily devotionals are.

1. Face my financial demons head on and destroy the pattern of debt. 2. Avoid over committing myself financially especially when it comes to extended family expenses…simply put…to learn to say no and stay focused on my own personal financial goals…and not attaching any guilt for saying no. 3. Grow a wealth mentality. Seek wisdom from God on managing finances and creating generational wealth. 4. Learn to splurge on myself a little more😅😊

Yes !!!!! When I tell you that this 21 Day Financial Fast will be so worth it I truly mean that. I haven't gotten to the point where I am able to implement everything that is discussed but it imparts new knowledge or a different way to approach money matters.

While the advice may seem so straight forward, the things I mentioned have truly worked for me when I applied them on a consistent basis. It does take a little extra work at the start, but once you get in a routine it will all flow so easily until your goal is completed.

I had to give up on that a long time ago … lol … Best case scenario would be them returning my money at the end of the year 😂🤣. I do agree that it’s crazy the amount of money they will lend young adults but wouldn’t give them that amount of money in any other scenario.. Smh 🤦🏾♀️…. This SAVE plan reduces your monthly loan payment but extends the life of the loan so you will pay even more in the end 😳…. I am hoping Biden comes through for you 🫣.

Absolutely, it took me some years but I can finally comprehend how establishing good habits in various areas of your life makes it so much easier. It is not always easy to get started but it is definitely worth it. The tricky part is finding habits that serve you and doing them in a way that serves you. Some of us forego good habits that serve us because we didn't find the best way to implement them into our current life situation. Thank you for watching the video and leaving a comment!

Every little bit more than the minimum payments counts toward student loan payments. I've been saving up my student loans in a high yield savings account just waiting for my first payment to kick in. I took this route because the way inflation has been, it really got me worried about job loss. I am following the Dave Ramsey approach, but also taking advantage of the pause to save up for at least three months of emergency. By October I hope to hit both goals of paying off loans and having an emergency fund in place.

Congrats on establishing an emergency fund !!! It truly does give you a peace of mind while paying off debt and building your financial portfolio. I think people underestimate how quickly additional payments will help you pay off a loan if you are contributing an extra 50-150 dollars a month.
