@El_Fabrico I have an error to report. I can't see blaster bolts when I'm firing any type of weapons. Its invisible, if I play the lucrehulk in instant action, I can really only see the bolt when I aim my guns towards the skies. Otherwise the closer I shoot to the horizon (between sky and ground) it starts to fade away. If I face towards the ground I can't see the weapon blast, just the muzzle firing. Help?

Is this using source code from the og battlefront 3 that was scarpped or is this entirely original and just based on how the game looked in videos?

This mod uses original assets (Models, textures) that were not edited since 2008, the year this game stopped being continued on. We also use extracted assets from the leaked xbox build.

This looks pretty much like a reskinned Battlefront 2, like a mod or something. Add a few things to make it stand out more from Battlefront 2 and you got yourself a proper sequel to the second game to be honest. The first and second game honestly did not feel too different in terms of what you do. I just think something awesome, such as the plan to go from land to space would have been that unique aspect that would make it better than the second game. So much potential to continue the classic route

All that is needed is the OG Battlefront 2 on PC and of course this mod (BF3 Legacy). Additionally it is recommended to have SleepKiller's Shaderpatch installed, as it improves graphical rendering for this game and works very well with this mod (e.g. lighting, ambient occlusion, shaders and materials and so on).

Any chance you would update the mod to run on classic collection? Even only in part, as i know new era mods are still down at this time. But ones running clone wars and galactic civil war still run.

It's currently not planned to focus on getting this mod work on Classic Collection.

@@El_Fabricio Darn. I totally understand but it still sucks. I absolutely love this mod, and at least for me, classic is more stable for modern rigs (windows 10/11). I used to get random crashes and frame drops with the originals. But I ran BF3 invisible hand without problems on classic, and I've installed mods with custom assets without issues there as well (but scripts don't all work). I truly hate Aspyr for changing the code and doing a half hearted job on the whole thing. The textures make me literally cringe, especially when they call it a remaster and I have a direct comparison to your work.

It still looks so wonky. I think it's because of the lack of weight the characters and the camera has. It doesn't feel "AAA" in a manner of speaking. It might be the camera lagging behind the crosshair, and the movement being so snappy. The HUD also doesn't help.

I noticed this weird effect from footage of the new classic collection and it also seems to be here too. When Mace Windu (or any other force user too, I guess) does a force jump he leaves a crater when he lands. The force jump isn't a superhero jump, Jedi aren't 'impervious to damage' superheroes. The force jump includes a force float that allows the jedi to land without injury.

The crater Mace leaves is intentional.

The crater you're referring to here looks like an intentional ability. It doesn't occur when he jumps, but when he lands. He does a sort of "ground pound" smashing the terrain and damaging any droid unlucky enough to be nearby. I believe he also did that in the 2003 clone wars cartoon

God damn, I love the way the blaster bolts look! Much closer to how they appear in the movies. How feasible would it be to mod ragdolls into the game? One thing I always thought this game needed. Are you still working on this? The wiki page says that you pulled out but you're the only one actively posting devlogs on this
