Oh my! A very worthy and delicate interpretation of this gorgeous Joplin piece. Bravo, sir! I very much like your tempo, fidelity to Joplin's score, (with one or two tasteful flourishes) and patient legato (with one or two exceptions, particularly in the second strain where you play a couple of beats staccato, which IMO is undesirable and sounds idiosyncratic and unserious; nothing in this most graceful masterpiece is staccato!). Anyways, a most wonderful treat for the ears; I think Joplin would approve. I look forward to many more Joplin performances, and thank you for your willingness to share your skill & hard work!

I Always come back do your version of this piece and Scott Kirby’s version. It depends on the day any hour as to which when I prefer. But like your other pieces just steal the phrase it is non-Parell

I love it. Adding this to my classical playlist. so much better than the orchestra versions.

I I have followed your videos for several years and you have a connection to ragtime that very few players have. It’s very expressive it’s not overly polished you’re just a pleasure to listen to. Because I can play some of these pieces I understand the time in the skillet takes and you do it beautifully. Please ignore any comments to try to change your style.

You have a style for sure .i did go and listen to mr. Whites version it was wonderful but.. you have an intoxicating way of playing this piece. Old Havana in 1901, warm sultry nights sweet

Very nice job. Sometimes people play it too quickly and I think it has more emotion at this tempo.

This rendition, while technically very competent, doesn’t offer solace. The rhythm is too jerky and inconsistent, with unexpected pauses and staccato notes.

Very nice version of Solace. Currently working on it, going to implement some of your ideas into my own playing. Nicely done, sir.

Makes me happy to hear this. FYI, my interpretation was inspired by Sue Keller's KZbin and live performances of Solace.

This is really a sweet arrangement; the piano versions I have heard in the past are too frantic. Five years ago, someone asked if you had written out this arrangement for piano and you said you just did it by ear from Van Ronk. Could you put this in writing? Perhaps you have. Thanks.
