Can’t wait to read the book. Already ordered it. The only thing I think - the best way to show the discrepancy between what we say about animals, caring for them and loving them and what we do - is not treatment of bugs or pet animals - but animals we eat, the act of eating them, the act of creating demand for mutilation and slaughter of 100 billions of farm animals (many of those billions being babies) - and that number excluded trillions of fish and sea animals. Because farm animals seem to remain a silent elephant in the room whenever we talk about our attitudes towards animals and we somehow think that kindness to animals is in petting and loving a dog and that somehow that can co-exist with eating animals as intelligent and as capable of emotional complexity as dogs.

Just read this book and I absolutely LOVED it! I just came across Tracey Garvis Graves as an author earlier this year and loved her 2024 release. I saw my library just got this title in and it sounded right up my alley. This book was so good I stayed up till 3am in the morning and couldn't put it down. I couldn't say enough about this book and now that I am finished with it, I can't stop thinking about Ian and Kate's story. I am planning on reading the second book which I have on hold when it comes in to my library. I plan on having this two book seris on my book shelves as well as her new release. I am going to look into more of her backlist books.

Gill’s book sounds fascinating! I am sharing your channel and Gill’s fabulous book to my book friends, on Facebook and family members too ! “Horse” sounds like an incredible read and one where the reader might need to have a trusty box of tissue next to her side. But this information will also be shared because it sounds like a book to be read and shared along with Gill’s book, “Scandalous Women”. ( on a side note, I met Jackie, Joan and their husbands a private club in Beverly Hills where I was a member and Jackie’s husband was the co owner with Michael Caine ! ☺️

I have a different perspective on why the kids didn't come up with identifying their teacher as a black lady. I don't think they were too nervous to mention it the way we often are as adults. I don't think they said anything about race because I don't think they saw it. I remember noticing this about my kids when they were before school age or maybe Pre-k or kindergarten. They genuinely didn't seem to notice race, and it was really cool.

I so hope you write at least one more Lockwood and co. book or more short stories. I love them so much!! I want to see Skull come back, the continuation of where you left off with Lucy and Lockwood expressing their feelings, and explore more about Lucy (particularly) George and Lockwood’s powers as they get older and because Lucy’s are so different; I want to see more of her connecting to ghosts and helping them move on. relationship and I need more ghost fighting <3 maybe even more background on Lucy’s family and upbringing, given the sort of repressed neglect and abuse that’s hinted at in the books. Will there ever be a world post-The Problem? Part of me hopes so for the ghosts sakes and the living, but I also can’t imagine the gang not interacting with ghosts anymore
