I haven’t seen anyone bring this up yet. It’s pretty obvious when you think about it, but the chromatic line ascending and descending really pushes the idea of the windy, harsh, unknown aspect of being in a strong snow storm. It’s very eerie considering you have to navigate harsh weather conditions while battling an Ice Centipede-Dragon that can teleport.

Might be eight months late, but I personally believe it is pronounced Fi not Fe. Most companion names in Zelda games are puns Navi=Navigate Tatl=tattletale Fi= identify I think it should be pronounced like that instead of the way you do because it follows the same system as the other companions that are named after what they do

I never played the old Zelda game, just Breath of the Wilds and currently Zalda Tears of the Kingdom, I was blown away by how epic the Colgera theme boss battle, turns out it’s even more epic now because it was from the older series of the game, glad I played this section while docking my switch, such an epic song, absolute banger!

The disrespect to Wind Waker: -Outset Island -Windfall Island -Title Theme -Molgera Battle -Dragon Roost -Tetra’s Pirate Ship Easily A Tier!

I would personally put Breath of the Wild above Tears of the Kingdom in terms of soundtrack. While Breath of the Wild didn’t have *very* unique boss themes, I think its solo work in tracks like “Dark Beast Ganon Battle”, and “Monk Maz Koshia”, far outdo Tears of the Kingdom’s rather refrained use of solos. While Colgera’s battle theme has one of the hardest Recorder solos I’ve ever heard, it’s nothing to compare to Dark Beast Ganon’s Piccolo AND Piano solos. While Tears of the Kingdom’s soundtrack is great for what it is, to me, it feels as if the sound team lost a bit of its passion, refraining from using techniques like glissando and tremolo and instead only using hard notes and chords. (Technically the Skydive theme counts as both of those techniques… but it’s not really the same thing.) Also, the memories in BotW had much more complex and memorable compositions. The TotK memory themes are fine, but I genuinely can’t find myself listening to “Where Am I?” or “A Show of Fealty” outside of gameplay. They really are that boring.

I heard that ganon theme and I needed to look this up

I love the huge crescendo on the motif of the Dragon Roost. It really shows the amount of emotion put into a few chords. Not to mention the tone of the notes completely changing once the main chords hit… It went from really quiet… To BLASTING LOUD! And yet it doesn’t make the notes sound “Ugly.” Sorry, I’m in band so I’m kinda a music nerd.

After a year and not seeing this video, i kinda want to see a botw music video, since when i first played it..i heard bits of pieces of notes from other games when you enter hyrule castle, BETTER than totk hyrule imo.
