I love him the most of any musician. Cherish was the first song I taught myself to play on the piano. He was cultured, loving, poetic and passionate and it shone in his music. See you on the other side. ❤

Hate to disagree, but Omaha (SAC Headquarters, Offutt AFB) was the Russkies' Target #1, not Hawaii (Hawaii??????) I should know; I lived THERE during the Cuban Missile Crisis !

My favorite American band. They played here in Muscatine, Iowa, when they were high on the charts -- the original group with Gary "Jules" Alexander -- and signed their first album to my girl friend Barb, who later became (and still is) my wife. She couldn't be there and each of them signed something warm and or funny to her. Wonderful guys. Incredible band. And Terry Kirkman was an outstanding songwriter in a group filled with them. Great voice. Thank you, sir.

Terry was a great songwriter, singer, and musician. It was so wonderful to be part of The Association every time I played their music. King Kirkman!

Where did Terry get the inspiration to write such a beautiful song? Every word of that song reflects how I would feel about the woman...that I have not met yet. Even today, it has such a great impact on me. Till I am no longer here, I will always CHERISH that song.

I'm sitting here crying as I listen. I once sent him a letter telling him how much I loved his music and he sent me a sweet card thanking me for remembering. To me, he was a brilliant musician and a beautiful soul. May he rest in perfect peace.🥹

My favorite Band of the 60’s for many reasons. Terry Kirkman’s Song “Requiem for the Masses” was a great song and one of most underrated Protests Song of that time is a song that has stood the test of time. It is brilliant. I admire him greatly and the Association left us memorable songs both written and performed as only they could. God Bless them.

I’ve also heard that “Requiem for the Masses” addresses the racial strife in America during the 1960s. As in the line, “Black and white was the question that so bothered him.”

Terry wrote the two most beautiful songs of our time, “Cherish” and “Everything that touches you” in addition to so many others, truly a 60s icon❤️🎶🎼
